Dealing With Cancer…How To Proceed

Many cancer symptoms mimic the symptoms of other diseases, so it is easy for anyone to be misled. All doctors agree on one thing though: Get to know your body and if you notice any unusual pain or change that gets worse, see your doctor. If you have already had a diagnosis then you may want to spread further awareness to other women. Here are some signs you should not ignore.

Bleeding after menopause

It is not uncommon for some women to have some bleeding after menopause. But if menstrual bleeding starts suddenly and persists, then it could be a warning sign of uterine cancer. The good news is that women diagnosed with stage 1 uterine cancer and while the cancer had not metastasized had a five-year survival rate of up to 88%.

Breast discoloration, or other changes

Women usually panic when they grab something in their breast. However, any change in the breast can be a symptom of cancer. If you notice that the skin of the breast changes color, gets a deeper red or pink, then you should consult your doctor, says Rich Wender of the American Cancer Society. “Not all signs are necessarily cancer but that is why women are slow to seek help because they hope it is nothing.”

Stomach pain or nausea

Stomach aches are so common that it rarely means that one of them is a sign of cancer.

But if you notice persistent stomach cramps or suddenly feel nauseous all the time and have no signs of improvement, then consult a doctor. It can be a simple ulcer, but it could also be a symptom of leukemia or cancer of the esophagus, liver, pancreas or colon.

Frequent fevers or infections

If you are healthy, but notice that you often get sick often, or have a fever often, this could be an early symptom of leukemia. In any case, a fever that does not go away for days must be examined where it comes from and treated. Do not put any of the symptoms down to poor mental health

Difficulty swallowing

A sore throat can cause difficulty swallowing, but if you notice that it persists for a few weeks and gets worse, see your doctor. This is a common sign of stomach cancer and can also be an early sign of lung cancer.

Types of treatments you may encounter

Depending on the type of cancer you have, you may have some treatment choices, aside from chemotherapy and radiation as well as surgery, there are some other options. Proton cancer treatment has been used for many years and can be a preferred choice – you should look into its benefits and how it could help. Immunotherapy is also another option. Immunotherapy stimulates the patient’s immune system and teaches it to target and attack cancer cells. This is achieved by immunostimulating the patient’s body with agents that act in various ways, such as e.g. vaccines that train the body to recognize cancer cells and destroy them. Our body’s immune system functions as a monitoring system to protect against what it perceives as foreign substances. For example, when our immune system detects harmful bacteria or a virus in our body, it reacts by producing specific proteins (antibodies) that attack and destroy the invaders. Our immune system also treats cancer cells as foreign invaders, but due to some system failure it often does not recognize the cancer cells. For years, researchers have been looking for ways to improve the body’s natural defense response to cancer cells.

Attn: Business Owners….3 Creative Ways To Reach Your Target Audience

Image by Isi Dixon from Pixabay

For companies big and small, one of the most important factors of effective marketing is to reach your target market. Your products and services are designed for a certain group of people, but you must reach them to get their support. This takes a lot of time and effort, but here are three creative steps to help you reach your audience with more accuracy.

1. Know Who They Are

Start by knowing who you should be targeting. Create a persona for your target market. Look at ages, income brackets, ethnicities and education. Also, look at shared hobbies or interests. Once you have a solid idea of who and where your target market is, you can dig deep.

2. Be Engaging

Even if you know how to reach your audience, you must get their attention too. Do this with creative marketing strategies. Sending a postcard for real estate marketing is a great way to catch the attention of leads. Social media is another marketing platform where you can drop ads, build up a following and interact with potential clients.

3. Add a Personal Twist

In anything you do, help customers and leads know that you care. The more “human” side you show in the business helps build trust and develop relationships. Refine your brand voice, build up the image of the company and interact as much as you can with the people you are catering to. It’s important to have a strong customer service team that can answer questions and help customers with their needs.

As you actively seek ways to reach your target market, you will also be improving your brand image. People will start to recognize who you are, and you can slowly become an expert in your industry. Find creative ways to show your customers that you care.

Real Estate Terms Everyone Should Know

Image Pixabay

Around 6 million people purchased homes in 2019. Approximately 33% of those people were first-time homebuyers. If you are considering a home purchase, it is crucial to understand what the most common mortgage terms mean. Some words are self-explanatory; others are not. Knowing these can help you navigate through one of the more confusing aspects of homebuying.

Adjustable-Rate Mortgage

Image by Nattanan Kanchanaprat from Pixabay

An adjustable-rate mortgage or ARM has a flexible interest rate that changes over time. This can vary your monthly payment drastically depending on the National Interest Rate. Sometimes the fluctuation makes your payment lower, but it can also make it higher as well.

Balloon Payment Mortgage

A mortgage where the last payment is considerably higher than the others, essentially paying off the mortgage. You hear this term more when dealing with investment property than other types. When you have a balloon payment, you either have to refinance your home before the end of the term or have the money to pay that final payment.

Contingency

contingency is an agreement or stipulation that needs to be satisfied before the home is sold. This could be a home inspection or repair. Many mortgage companies will put contingencies on a property before lending money.

Encumbrance

An encumbrance is any monetary lien that lowers the home’s value, usually lien, such as a tax lean, EPA lien, or mortgage. If a property is encumbered, the amount of the encumbrance must be paid before the property changes hands. This is done before the sale, or it is included in the buyer’s mortgage.

Prepayment Clause

A penalty that you pay when you pay off your mortgage in advance. Bank loans with a prepayment clause usually force you to pay off things like interest before you can pay off the mortgage.

Buying a house can be an enjoyable experience if you know what you are doing. These are just a few of the terms you should know while you shop for your new home.

4 Botanical Gardens That Will Catch Your Eye

With summer in full swing, it is the perfect time to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. If it’s a little too hot for your liking, you can always bring the scent of the outside in with powders from Sacred Kratom. However, if you are feeling more adventurous, you can venture out to some of the most beautiful botanical gardens around the country.

Japanese Garden in Portland

A 5.5-acre retreat from the hustle and bustle of Portland, Oregon, this oasis is home to five different gardening styles. The authenticity is unmatched outside of a true garden location in Japan, and it boasts a tea garden, strolling pond, flat garden, sand and stone garden, and a natural garden. This is a great place to find serenity in the city.

Brooklyn Botanical Garden

An oldie but a goodie, this botanical garden founded in 1910 is home to more than 10,000 different kinds of plants from around the world. Even in the wintertime, you can enjoy the indoor tropical garden, but many plan their visit around springtime for the annual bloom that occurs on dozens of cherry blossom trees.

Desert Botanical Garden

Off the more traditional interpretation of botanical garden but just as impressive it is the Desert Botanical Garden in the heart of Phoenix. There are more than 140 acres that display over 50,000 plant species. Visitors to the garden can walk five different loops to enjoy the showcase of herbs, wildflowers, and cacti. The garden also hosts special events such as ballet presentations and outdoor music concerts.

Longwood Garden

If you’ve never been to Versailles, this is a comparable substitute. Founded by Pierre du Pont, the property reveals how beautiful a symmetrical hedge can be and how fountains can indeed be jaw-dropping.

You don’t need to stay cooped up indoors spraying room mists to feel the magic of nature. Head off to a botanical garden and soak in the sun and smell of all the beauty that Earth has to offer.
