In honor of today’s Dior fashion show in Paris. I have been watching Dior and I, a beautifully done documentary about the world of the Christian Dior fashion house. It is a spectacular behind the scenes view of how Raf Simons, the newly appointed creative director, develops his first Haute Couture collection. We are wrapping up a long 4th of July weekend. Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays, everyone is so patriotic and festive. There are always a bunch of fun parties and fireworks galore. Calling all basketball fans, Allan Houston, of the NY Knicks, is selling his Armonk Manson. The house is 19,000 square feet, has 26 rooms, including 7 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms and sits on 10 acres. The indoor basketball court and indoor trophy room are my favorite. Enjoy and if any one of my readers is lucky enough to buy this amazing home, please invite me over!!!

Fashionable Friend Friday

Last night I attended the opening of Tamara Mellon’s “pop up” shop in Southampton. It was such an amazing event. Tamara Mellon, this week’s Fashionable Friend Friday, is the former Co-Founder, and Creative Chief Officer of Jimmy Choo. I have always admired all the styles of the Jimmy Choo shoes and handbags. They remain a must have of fashionistas and red carpet walkers from coast to coast. I was so anxious to see her new Tamara Mellon line of clothing and accessories. The shop, which is located on Hill Street in Southampton, is full of chic ready to wear pieces, handbags, shoes and other accessories. We were fortunate enough to meet Tamara and her adorable daughter, Minty. They could not be more gorgeous, gracious and welcoming. Everyone in our group walked out with treasures, ranging from drop dead fringe skirts to luxury summer cashmere and mod sandals. Aromaflage

A friend recently put me in touch with the company Aromaflage. Basically the husband and wife team, of Mikey and Momo “discovered this exotic, botanical fragrance that doubles as an insect repellent”, while traveling through South East Asia. The fragrance contains no toxic chemicals or anything you cannot pronounce. It comes in two sizes and the product line also includes candles. There is the Aromaflage Scent and the Wild Scent. There is also a fragrant bracelet available. This is on my wish list! The packaging is really beautiful. The pocket spray is perfect to keep in your purse or clutch to pull out during a romantic night under the stars.
