How cute is today’s post? A few homemade dog treats that are fast and simple to make but your dogs will absolutely love.

Apple Cubes

2 apples

1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree

1 cup non-fat yogurt

Cut apple into 4-5 pieces removing the core. Blend the apple slices, pumpkin, and yogurt until smooth. Pour the mixture into an ice cube tray and freeze for at least 6 hours. The result…a cool treat for your pup!!!

Banana Almond Snack

1 egg

1/3 banana

1 tsp cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and line a sheet with parchment paper. Mash the banana, and add all
other ingredients until well blended. The dough will be thick and gooey. Drop dime-sized spoons of the mix onto your lined baking sheet, and place in the oven for 10 minutes, turning the pan halfway through. Make sure they cool before your pup enjoys a few!

Fruity Frosty Hearts

Watermelon

Raspberries

Yogurt

Mix all ingredients together with a fork until combined. Pour the mix into an ice tray or treat
a mold of your choice (I love the bone-shaped ones). Place in the freezer for at least 6 hours, and they’re ready to serve.

Are You Taking Proper Care Of Your Body?

We all know that it’s important to take care of our bodies, but there is knowing that, and then there is actually putting it into action, which can be a lot more difficult. If you are keen to make sure that you are taking proper care of your body, there are a lot of areas that you might want to focus on, and it’s something you are going to want to focus on as best as you can. Let’s take a look at some of the main aspects of taking good care of your body that you will want to be aware of on the whole.

Avoiding Injury

One element of this that people often forget about is avoiding injury. It’s important that you are doing this if you want to keep your body in its best possible state, and it’s really worthwhile therefore taking special care wherever necessary to do that. At work is one place that you particularly need to think about this, and you might need to consult a personal injury lawyer if you find that your work puts you in some particular danger. You should also take care when exercising and when driving a vehicle as well.

Exercising Regularly

Good exercise is really the difference between having a body you are happy with and one that doesn’t work as well as it should. If you want to make sure that you are taking good care of your body, it’s vital that you are exercising regularly, and that you try out a variety of exercises as well. That is something that can prove really important, and it’s vital that you are aware of this at all times. Exercise well, and your body should improve greatly over time, along with helping you to feel fitter and happier too, and stronger.

Keep Your Vaccines Up To Date

You need vaccinations for all sorts of things, and it’s important that you are going to keep on top of these as best as you can. As long as you do that, you’ll find that you are much more likely to keep healthy over time. The risks of vaccinations are far outweighed by their benefits, so there is no good reason why you shouldn’t keep your vaccinations up to date as best as you can. You should find that you are going to be a lot healthier on the whole if you do this.

Get Plenty Of Sleep

Finally, a note on sleep. If you are doing everything else in this list but you’re not getting enough sleep, then that is going to cut out the benefits of those things greatly. Sleep is vital for the proper functioning of your body, so you need to make sure that you are aware of this and that you get as much sleep as you possibly can. It really will help you to be and feel a lot healthier and stronger, and it’s amazing how much of a difference it can make over time.

The 5 Home Maintenance Projects You Need to Tackle First This New Year

The new year is a time for fresh starts and new beginnings. It’s also the perfect time to tackle some important home maintenance projects that may have been neglected over the past year. Here are 5 projects that you should definitely add to your list.

1. Inspect your roof for damage and leaks

The first thing you should do is inspect your roof for any damage or leaks. Over time, the sun’s ultraviolet rays and extreme weather conditions can cause your roof to deteriorate and weaken. Make sure to check all areas of your roof, including the chimney, vents, and gutters. If you spot any issues, be sure to have a professional like Angle Ridge roofing repair and replacement company repair them immediately before they get worse. In addition, you should also check your attic and roof insulation to make sure they are still up to par. Insulation plays a key role in energy efficiency and keeping energy costs down.

2. Service your HVAC system

Your HVAC system is an important part of your home and should be serviced every year to ensure that it’s running smoothly and efficiently. Make sure you schedule annual maintenance appointments with a professional technician or heating/cooling company who can troubleshoot any issues you might be having, as well as inspect the ductwork for leaks or blockages

Also, if you haven’t done so already, consider investing in a programmable thermostat. This will help you save money on energy costs throughout the year and ensure your home is always at a comfortable temperature.

3. Check your windows and doors for drafts

Drafty windows and doors are another common problem that can cause your home’s energy efficiency to suffer. Inspect all of the windows and doors in your home for any air leaks or gaps. If you find any, caulk them up with some weatherproof sealant or apply new weatherstripping, if necessary.

4. Replace your furnace filter

Your furnace filter should be changed every 3 months or so to ensure your heating system is running as it should. If you haven’t replaced it in the past few months, this is a good time to do so. Additionally, you should also schedule an inspection with a professional technician to make sure your furnace is in good working condition.

5. Inspect your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors

Lastly, you should also check your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to make sure they are still functioning properly. Make sure to test the batteries in both of these devices at least once a year. If there is no response, replace the battery immediately. Additionally, if you don’t already have one, it’s also a good idea to invest in a fire extinguisher for your home as well

Taking the time to properly maintain and care for your home can help ensure that it remains safe and energy-efficient throughout the year. Following these 5 tips will help you get started on the right track this new year!

The reality is that most sharks pose no threat to people and, in fact, play a vital role in healthy ecosystems. Through life-size models, touch-free interactives, real fossils, and dynamic media presentations, visitors to Sharks can discover the incredible diversity of this intriguing group of fishes and learn about the conservation threats they are facing today.

Self-care is so important for overall health, and with today being International Self-Care Day I wanted to share a few favorite self-care tips and tricks from TheSoul Publishing – an award-winning publishing co. behind one of the top five YouTube channels, 5-Minute Crafts.

  • DIY Bath Bomb: Baths are a great form of self-care and relaxation. Next time you’re looking to relax, try making this easy bath bomb! Mix baking soda, citric acid, coconut oil, your favorite essential oil, and coloring. Once mixed evenly, place the mixture into an empty ice cube tray and allow it to sit together to dry. Once hardened, pop the bath bomb out of the tray, place into bath water, and relax!
  • Make Your Own Moisturizer: Add aloe vera gel, almond oil, lavender essential oil, and cedarwood essential oil into a mixing bowl and mix until evenly spread. Place the mixture into a container with a lid to store, and you’re all set!
  • Honey & Brown Sugar Exfoliator: Struggling with dry, cracked skin? Try this easy-to-make honey exfoliator! Simply mix brown sugar, honey, and coconut oil together in a bowl. Once evenly mixed, scoop out the mixture and rub it onto your dry skin. Rinse off and done! Your skin will be left feeling soft and smooth.
