Happy Thanksgiving

I first and foremost want to let all of you know how THANKFUL I am for all your support throughout the entire year. I am so grateful for all your comments, calls, texts, DM, emails, bump into’s on the street with words of encouragement about what I do here on this blog and my social media pages. I am hoping all of you are having a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends, neighbors, co-workers, or whoever you choose to spend the holiday with. I am putting the final touches for our day here. My kids are all home and I am so HAPPY. Words cannot describe how I miss the old days, when everyone was little, we collected food for our class Thanksgiving baskets and worked on hand print turkey crafts. I started looking at photos of past years for some inspiration and thought I would share some of the previous holiday tablescapes with you. Most of the items are vintage, or hand me downs from my family, mostly my mom, others from my beloved Twig Shop and the remaining from some new fabulous vendors, like one of my fav’s Back Country Mercantile.

I hope everyone enjoys their day. And ends this week with lots of desserts and left overs and of course shopping!!!

Here, we have curated a list of top fashion tips on how to dress well for the winter season. So, let’s get into it.

1 Wear Three Layers

Wearing three layers is one of the most practical ways to dress during the winter season. If you aren’t aware of layering, consider the below points:

  • Inner Layer – Consider wearing fabrics that absorb moisture and hold more body heat. Some of them may include wool, silk, and polypropylene.
  • Insulation Layer – Wear natural fibers like wool, goose down, or fleece that work best to retain heat in your body.
  • Outer Layer – The outer layer will help you protect from wind and snow. Make sure to wear tightly woven clothing which can help you reduce the loss of body heat.

Don’t worry about piling up the layers and ruining your overall look. The key here is to stay warm and still look elegant in your outfit.

2. Try Out Trendy Jackets

During the winter season, it’s important to wear warm clothes to protect yourself from the cold weather. But it doesn’t mean you can’t have fun during the cold weather.

To achieve a stylish look while protecting yourself from harsh winters, you can give a try to some trendy jacket styles for this season. For example, you can wear a varsity jacket, which is perfect to help you achieve a stylish, trendy look while keeping you warm during the winter.

Historically, these jackets were only worn by sports players to represent their teams in schools and colleges. But it has now become a staple for any casual winter wardrobe

3. Embrace Fur

Winter is the only time when you can wear fur. So, just have fun with it. The best thing about wearing fur is that you can wear it with anything to achieve a modern, stylish look.

Fur coats are one of the best winter wear that will protect you from harsh winters while maintaining a stylish, casual look.

4. Don’t Forget To Wear Winter Accessories

While heading out in the winter, make sure to wear all the necessary winter accessories like hats, gloves, and scarves that will help keep you warm.

For example, a colorful cashmere beanie can add a spot of color to your winter look. Also, wearing a hat or beanie can help keep your body warm this season.

Summing Up

Dressing for winter is all about protecting yourself from harsh weather. But it doesn’t mean compromising on quality and trendy clothes.

To sum up, following the tips mentioned above can keep you warm during winter while maintaining your stylish look.

How To Be More Positive In Life

Right now, there’s a lot happening around the world. It’s easy to feel helpless, stressed out, and even angry due to the constant barrage of information we receive from the media, our communities, and our own daily lives. The natural inclination of the human mind is not necessarily toward the most optimistic outcome, and with everything that’s happening, being negative is so much easier.

However, being negative is also bad for you. It makes you miserable, you’ll miss out on fun, and you might even make yourself mentally or physically unwell. With this in mind, here are some ways to be more positive in life, even when things seem hard.

Meditate

In a world where everyone is in a hurry, it’s important to take a moment to think about what’s going on around you. You can only think about one thing at a time when you do guided meditation, and this is exactly what most people need. This gives you a sense of calm and helps to stop you feeling quite so stressed.

The great thing about meditation is that it gives you a different way to look at things, so you can see the big picture instead of just the small details. So, it gives your spirit a boost so you can face the day head-on. Positive people are more likely to be people who meditate every day. Of course, it can be hard to get into the right state of mind to meditate, especially when you’re stressed. Trying Delta 9 Gummies can be a good way to start your meditation in that case.

Make A Gratitude List

Be positive by keeping a grateful attitude. Take some time to sit down and think about the things you really appreciate in your life. Once you have made your list, put it somewhere safe where you will see it often. On your phone, at your desk at work, or on a bookmark, for example. Read the list as often as you can to keep your mind in a good place and remind yourself of all the good things in your life.

Keep A Journal

A journal gives you a place to write down your feelings and thoughts without worrying about being judged. It can also show how you’ve changed over time. Your journaling habit gives you a safe place to get out all those hidden or bottled-up feelings, as well as to figure out and plan for your goals and dreams. It can be more than just a virtual friend; it can also be a personal counselor. You can often find the answers to all the questions you’ve been asking by keeping a journal. Plus, keeping a journal is one way to deal with your negative thoughts and become a more positive person.

Stay Active

Too much downtime can make a person feel bad about themselves. Instead, do things and hobbies that keep you busy and active. Find things you like to do so you can fill your time and mind with good things. Even if you’re more laid back, you can still keep your mind busy by reading, playing games, or even writing. Finding a positive outlet is a great way to change the direction of your negative thoughts when you feel them coming on.

Get a creative hobby and practice it.

Having a creative hobby like creating music can have many positive benefits. Not only is it an excellent way to express yourself, but doing something creative can also help improve your mood and mental health. Music has the power to help reduce stress and anxiety, as well as provide a sense of accomplishment when you create something you’re proud of. Taking time away from your daily routine for something that brings joy can be incredibly beneficial for your overall well-being. Additionally, learning new skills or honing ones you already have can provide a great sense of progress, helping boost self-confidence. At the same time, you’ll learn valuable skills like How to Wrap Audio Cables or How to Solder, which can be used in any field of audio engineering.

Making a list of accomplishments

A list of impressive accomplishments can be a boon when you’re in a rut. A list of impressive accomplishments may be the only way to get out of that rut. This isn’t only about the accomplishments you made in the past but the accomplishments you made while in this tough situation.

Visualizing a better future

Seeing the big picture can be a powerful motivator, and visualization can help you get there. A good visualization will engage the mind, body, and soul. Visualizing a better future can boost your self-confidence and inspire you to achieve your ideal state.

If you want to start, take a moment to think about your goals, strengths, and weaknesses. Then, get creative. Use the imagination to envision a better future for yourself and your family. You can also visualize your ideal home or a better way to commute to work. You want to enjoy fully living, and this is the best way to achieve it.

Taking criticism seriously

Taking criticism seriously to give yourself more hope during tough times can be challenging. It requires effective skills and a self-encouragement attitude. It’s also important to understand the difference between fair and unfair criticism. You should also try to set personal boundaries. If you’re the type of person easily hurt by criticism, you should try to find supportive communities. However, finding a community that is comfortable with your sensitive nature can take time and effort. Criticism can sometimes be good, but it can also sometimes be bad.

Practicing compassion for your pain

Using self-compassion during difficult times can be a good way to cope. Instead of blaming yourself or others for your feelings, practice compassion and acknowledge them. This will help you cope with them and find a way forward. A good way to practice compassion is by taking physical action. One of the best things to do is to give yourself a hug or squeeze. You can also use self-compassion affirmations while you’re meditating. This can help you build your internal strength and give you hope during hard times. Even writing down what you’re feeling can work too.

Connecting with friends and family

You must reach out to your friends and family during tough times to help you cope. Your friends and family are your biggest support system, and you can rely on them to be there for you to help you out.
