All About The Blouse

I have a feeling this Fall is going to be all about the blouse.  Off the shoulder, lace, bell sleeves, ruffle, tie front…we are going to see them all.  There’s nothing like having a perfect go-to blouse, in our closet, to pair with jeans or black pants, for a special event or a night out.  I especially love the ones that are showcased below.  Oh how I wish I had them all!

Jonathan Adler Fall 2016

Yesterday I received the Jonathan Adler fall catalogue and all I can say is WOW.  If it was possible, I would move right into those glossy gorgeous pages.  I have always been a fan of Jonathan Adler and his partner Simon Doonan.  Honestly, this is Jonathan’s best collection yet.  BUT, don’t take my word for it…see it for yourself!!!!

Book Club Monday

There have been so many psychological thrillers published after the success of Gone Girl.  Every time a new one is published I am so interested, I read the summary and add it to my list.  Last week, a reader texted me a photo of the book The Couple Next Door, and I knew I had to share it.  First of all the title is brilliant.  Who at one point or another has not been intrigued with the people next door?  It is such an American phenomenon.  For me it started with the older twin sisters who lived next door to us growing up.  They could not drive and walked everywhere dressed alike.  VERY intriguing!  The plot of this story goes like this….

Anne and Marco Conti seem to have it all—a loving relationship, a wonderful home, and their beautiful baby, Cora. But one night when they are at a dinner party next door, a terrible crime is committed. Suspicion immediately focuses on the parents. But the truth is a much more complicated story.

Inside the curtained house, an unsettling account of what actually happened unfolds. Detective Rasbach knows that the panicked couple is hiding something. Both Anne and Marco  soon discover that the other is keeping secrets, secrets they’ve kept for years.

What follows is the nerve-racking unraveling of a family—a chilling tale of  deception, duplicity, and unfaithfulness that will keep you breathless until the final shocking twist.

Does this not sound incredible?  I feel like it might be one that we cannot put down.  For more information on this book or to purchase, click HERE.

Weekend Real Estate Stalking

If you follow me on social media you already know that I had three missed close encounters with Leonardo Di Caprio.  Once at the restaurant The Lion in NYC.  I got there just as he left, the paparazzi were still lingering outside, next, this summer at the Beyonce concert, I missed him by ONE night…same section and all and finally a few weekends ago in East Hampton.  I think the universe is telling me that we are destined to meet.  Leo, until we “meet” again, I will just have to dream about purchasing your fabulous home that just went on the market in Malibu!!!!!

Fashionable Friend Friday

This week’s Fashionable Friend Friday is Andy Alexander, The Grim Wreather!  I first saw Andy’s incredible work on Instagram.  Andy is a true artist and his creations are the most fabulous ornate Halloween wreaths.  Each one is a sculpture for your home or door.  The wreaths are an amazing combination of Halloween decorations, ornate costume jewelry and other glitzy objects and finally artificial flowers of all colors and sizes.  The end result is spectacular.  Each piece is sure to become a family heirloom that you will look forward to displaying year after year, Halloween after Halloween. Andy promised to make my Halloween wreath a true couture piece (he likes to categorize them as couture and ready to wear).  I told him I want the Paris Fashion Week of Halloween Wreaths!!!  Im sooooo excited!!! Stay tuned readers!!!  To order your own Grim Wreather wreath click HERE.  Bon Weekend!!!!!

I was lucky enough to catch up with Andy and interview him for Up To The Minute With Nicole.  Click HERE to listen to our interview.

Baked Spinach With Eggs

Here’s a recipe that I had pinned a while ago.  I have been dying to try it.  I think it would make an awesome back to school dinner.  It’s very healthy and extremely easy to make.  A win/win all around. Happy Cooking!

Baked Spinach with Eggs and Feta Cheese
adapted from manilaspoon.com

6 cups firmly packed spinach or 1 (10oz or up to 1 lb) bag of fresh baby spinach.  Can also use frozen
4 eggs (can increase to 6 if you are using more spinach)
Salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
2-3 Tbsp crumbled Feta cheese (depending on your liking)
Baking spray or a little oil for greasing

Pre-heat the oven to 400.
Lightly spray or grease an oven safe dish.  Set aside.
Place the spinach in a frying pan.  Add a little water and using medium heat cook the spinach until wilted (3-4 minutes).  Pack the spinach and drain…esp if you are using frozen spinach.
Place the spinach in the baking dish.
Crack eggs on top.  Season lightly and sprinkle the feta on top.
Place the baking dish on a cookie sheet (in case it bubbles over) and bake for approx. 15-18 minutes, until the eggs are set/cooked.
