This week’s Fashionable Friend Friday is Elaine Kirby McCleary. Elaine is the owner of the fabulous Kirby and Company decor boutique and cafe in Darien Ct. Today I spent the morning with Elaine getting to know her and her amazing shop. YOU HAVE TO GO!!!!! I was so impressed with every single thing in the store. Here is a recipe for a healthy pumpkin spice latte that you can make at HOME!!!!! I cannot wait to make this for my daughter Daisy who LOVES anything pumpkin spice!!! Cheers!!!!!
Pour 1 cup of almond milk in a small bowl
Add 2 teaspoons of pumpkin puree in bowl and stir
Heat bowl in microwave for 45 seconds
Pour Mixture into medium size cup of coffee
Add 1 tsp of vanilla extract
Sprinkle 1tsp of pumpkin pie spice into coffee and stir
Enjoy hot or over ice
Our Home Good’s Round Up continues. I feel like the merchandise was even better this week. I did not see a lot of larger furntiure pieces but the store was full of smaller accents and tons of gorgeous accessories. I’m having some buyers remorse that I left a few of these beauties behind!!!!! Happy Shopping!!!

Lastly, here is my favorite thing in the whole store, a predecorated platinum Christmas tree. Is it too weird to ask Santa to leave a tree under the tree? I absolutely LOVE it (trust me this iphone pix does not do this beautiy justice)!!!!!
If there is one accessory that will take you through the fall to winter year after year….it is the fur poncho. I have had a cashmere black poncho with a mink fur collar (that I took off one of my grandmother’s coat) for ages and it is one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe. Trust me on this, it will become your go to piece for day and night for YEARS to come!!!! The fur poncho is available in so many combinations, mink, rabbit, fox…all fur, fur collar, fur trim and so much more. This year I saw a mink and leather one that I absolutely fell in love with. We just got back from visiting my son for his 1st parents weekend at Providence College. It was such a great couple of days. We loved getting to spend the weekend together, as we really have missed having him around day to day. It was also so much fun getting to know a new city. We passed the time wandering around the different neighborhoods and learning about the area my son will call home for the next four years. I have to admit there was one trip to Bed, Bath and Beyond!!! It was so sad to leave him on Sunday but we already have a list of things to do when we go back!! Here is a round-up of some of the fun we had!!!
Today’s Weekend Real Estate Stalking is a gorgeous new construction by acclaimed Georgio Custom Builders. This home is so cutting edge with all of its sophisticated amenities. I absolutely love the use of the different marble in kitchen and bathrooms. The Sun Room with all its windows is fabulous and I love the look of the majestic horseshoe driveway. Lucky for us, the realtor, Liz Ross, is having a wine tasting this Wednesday (details below) in the home, so we can see it, in all its glory. in person!!! See you there!!!
