With the fall season soon approaching, the internet has been filled with objects of orange and dark green, yellows and maroons; from pumpkins, to greenery to gourds. I started thinking that since Christmas decorations can be neutral, why can’t fall decorating be the same. I am working on my mantel this week and there is no orange in site…In the meanwhile, here are some examples of decorating for fall with neutrals!!!!
The Kentucky Derby has the Mint Julep and the US Open has the Honey Deuce. For the past 12 years, the Honey Deuce has been the signature drink of the US Tennis Open. Here is how to make the cocktail so you can enjoy it at home hopefully while watching the tennis!!! Bottoms Up!!!!
I am hoping that this new format works. When the site Polyvore closed, it was hard for me to publish vision boards such as the one below. I am not working with a new site so I hope going forward it works!! Despite, this extreme heat, here are my fall fashion picks so far. All of the sweaters are really great and can take you from day to night. I also love that bow dresses/blouses are here to stay. You can never go wrong with oversized sunglasses and a pair of statement earrings!!!!
It’s that time of year again….Football season…tailgate time! I found some great ideas to bring your tailgate to the next level. Whether it be NFL, College or High School..You actually might forget about the game if you are partying at one of these beauties!!!
For the last Book Club Monday beach read of the summer, I chose Coco Beach by Beatriz Williams. I was recommended this book by a dear friend who also happens to be Head of the Upper School at my daughter’s school. She said she was glued to the book all last weekend and just loved it. Hopefully wherever you spend this last holiday weekend, Coco Beach will tag along. Below is the summary! Happy Reading!!!
King Kong follows the ambitious young actress Ann Darrow and maverick filmmaker Carl Denham as they voyage from the bustling streets of 1930s New York to an uncharted island to capture the world’s greatest wonder. At the center of this 21st-century theatrical reimagining: a 2,000-pound, 20-foot high gorilla and the woman who risks everything to help him.
Directed and choreographed by Olivier winner Drew McOnie, King Kong features an electrifying new score by Marius de Vries (La La Land) and Eddie Perfect (Strictly Ballroom The Musical), and a book by Jack Thorne, the Olivier Award-winning writer of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Don’t miss this exhilarating, emotional encounter with a legend that’s always been too big to contain.
