It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.
Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, a new play by Jack Thorne, received its world premiere in June 2016 at the Palace Theatre in London, where it plays to sold-out houses.
The critically acclaimed play has won 22 major theatre awards in the UK and is the most-awarded play in the history of Britain’s prestigious Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking nine awards including Best New Play and Best Director.
Over the summer, my husband and I went to Paris with our kids for the first time..I had been there previously, but I really wanted to make this trip special for their first time visiting the City Of Lights!!! When I got back, a good friend asked me to share some of the places that we went. I thought about it and decided to share the email that I sent to her with all of you. Below please find all of my must do’s in Paris…..Bon Weekend!!!
And here are my photos…….
Through this blog, I feel like I share pretty much everything about me and my life with my readers. But I was discussing something with some friends last week and thought…not a lot of people know this about me…and it’s time to share…..I love nuns. They are my peeps..I have been pretty much been educated by nuns my entire life. And, at least for me, a nun is the closest to what God here on earth might be like. I have always been obsessed I mean REALLY obsessed with nuns. For years, I have stopped dead in my tracks when I see a nun in full habit and literally gasp. I am in awe of their faith and strong beliefs. I have visited many many holy places and seem to be so lucky to come in contact with nuns from all over. One day, I started taking photos of them. Just for me, sometimes to send to friends… Mostly to keep for inspiration or a reminder of my faith when I need it. I love looking back at the photos. Friends also send me photos…which I love too..I really wanted to share some of them with you. Regardless of your religion I hope you just take a moment to indulge me. Oh and if you do see a nun in a special place, please please please snap a photo and send it to me.
I ran into Home Goods yesterday (the Port Chester location) to do a quick re-cap. My phone was about to die but I did zero in on a few things. The store right now, I can best describe, as harvest heavy…a lot of fall leaves, arrangements, pumpkins, orange…you get my drift. But I think if we are patient the higher end 4th quarter merchandise assortment will be coming in within weeks. That is when stores such as Home Goods save up their really great stuff because more people shop. I will really try to stay on top of it and do more re-caps within the coming months!! Happy Shopping!!!
I cannot pass up anything chinoiserie…I fell in love with these pillows.I just don’t think I have a place for them…Please please someone go back and give them a good home. They are just too gorgeous to stay there…and another pair that you really cannot see the detail…BTW those cane back muslin covered chairs are not bad either!!!
