Here in New York we have just finished celebrating the Papal visit. What a remarkable few days and “Journey of Faith” it was. He gave us the message of hope and to look for God all around us. Pope Francis told us New Yorkers that we can find God in our own streets, in the people we encounter. He stressed that we should love our neighbor and pray for our enemies. Let us follow the words of Pope Francis, and let others see God in us every day. Viva il Papa!!!!!
Today there is a home not too far away from mine on the market. I love this particular neighborhood, especially the back yard views. This property really showcases the charm of the Rye community. For information please contact Barbie Haynes HERE..Bon Weekend!!!
This week’s Fashionable Friend Friday is a special lady, Alex Cohen, who started the Love The Give initiative which encourages people to give to others in a small way every day. “Love The Give, #30DayGive, is a collaborative challenge encouraging people to make giving a habit and inviting them to discover how deliberate acts of kindness can change the world. You can start at any time, with any act. It is all about the difference you can make and those you help and inspire.” To learn more click HERE. You can also share your Love The Give photos and stories on your Instagram page to encourage others to get involved but be sure to hashtag #30DayGive! I personally love this initiative. I am in awe of how amazing this idea is, how simple it is and how greatly appreciated even the smallest act of kind is. Kudos to you Alex and your team. It just goes to show that a little love and kindness can go a long way.
Now that summer is behind us (unfortunately), fall has officially begun and the holidays are just around the corner, I saw this appetizer recipe on Gwyneth’s Goop and thought it was just the perfect thing to bring to a fall dinner party or upcoming holiday party. And, who can resist a new delicious treat for cocktail hour!!! Enjoy!!
