Fashionable Friend Friday

Just in time for Fashion Week!!  This week’s Fashionable Friend Friday is Dina Mackney.  I stumbled upon her designs on Instagram and have been following her ever since.  Her jewelry is dramatic yet quite elegant.  The colors that she uses are so vibrant and alive.  Every single piece is a true showstopper.  I have the rainbow necklace showcased below and I cannot begin to tell you how many compliments I get every time I wear it.  I especially love Dina’s statement ring collection.  What a wonderful addition to your Fall wardrobe.  To see the complete line for yourself, click HERE.  I was also lucky enough to interview Dina this Fashion Week and get some of her recommendations on building the perfect jewelry wardrobe.  To listen to the interview and get all of Dina’s insider tips, click HERE

1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 clove garlic, smashed
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon reduced fat cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Place a steamer insert into a saucepan and fill with water to just below the bottom of the steamer.  Bring water to a boil.  Add cauliflower, cover and steam until tender, about 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat, cook and stir garlic until softened, about 2 minutes.  Remove from heat.

Transfer half the cauliflower, to a food processor, cover and blend on high.  Add remaining cauliflower florets, one at a time, until vegetables are creamy.  Blend in garlic, Parmesan cheese, cream cheese, salt and black pepper.

Frances Valentine For Fall

If there is one brand you should check out this Fall it is Frances Valentine.  Kate Spade’s new accessory line.  I visited the showroom for their Fall Sneek Peek and I was amazed at all the beautiful designs.  There are so many gorgeous styles with an incredible use of textures.  I loved everything.  I really could not choose a favorite but was able to ask Andy and Kate Spade what theirs were.  Andy’s choice was the glitter Mary Janes and Kate loves the stacked heels with the fur pom poms and ankle straps.  I take one of each,  please.  To see the entire Frances Valentine line, click HERE.

Weekend Real Estate Stalking

This week’s Real Estate Stalking is one of my favorites.  This masterpiece Tuscany home’s history dates back to 1549 when Michaelangelo first purchased it, almost 30 years after he painted the Sistine Chapel.  The original deed comes with the sale that lists Michaelangelo as “a dear sculptor and Florentine citizen”!!!  The current owner has painstakingly restored the home to its original glory.  On the property, there is a vineyard, olive groves, lemon groves and an original oil mill.  In fact, many of the original accents in the home from the 11th century still stand today!!  AMAZING!!!  To learn more about this property, click HERE.
