Book Club Monday

Do you have wanderlust?  Do you dream of exotic vacations and start studded trips?  This week’s book choice was recommended to me by a very chic friend and it is just for you too!!!  Chic Stays highlights the secret favorite spots of your favorite actors, musicians and models.  Here is the summary:

Chic Stays. From Jeremy Irons’s historical Palacio Belmonte escape in Lisbon, to the beaches of Kate Winslet’s secret Sco ish hideaway of Eilean Shona, to Kate Moss’s favorite beach in the Maldives, each of these thirty-five personal tales of the loveliest spots around the globe is packed with anecdotes and lyrical descriptions to transport readers. The photography bursting across each page—from Parrot Cay to Sri Lanka to Oregon—inspires a new desire to discover these beloved corners of the world. – Amazon.com

Weekend Real Estate Stalking

One of my favorite homes is on the market.  This house is so incredible and unique.  There are large rooms throughout, which are perfect for entertaining, yet also perfect for raising a family.  It is so majestic and all the architectural details and windows are fab. For more information or to see this great home, email Patti Neave.

Fashionable Friend Friday

Today’s Fashionable Friend Friday is Elizabeth Ackerman.  She is a local mom who has a really wonderful clothing line.  Her tops and dresses are fabulous.  A lover of fashion, Elizabeth used her background as a magazine editor and stylist to create “Flattering contemporary styles in modern prints and solids that are washable, easy to pack, and can be styled multiple ways for year round wear.”  Elizabeth was so nice to extend 25 percent off any item purchased online by using the code, TAKE25.  Check out all of her styles HERE.

Spring Break Style

Here we go again with a “white out” snow
storm. I am sooo happy to have everyone
home but honestly this weather is really
getting old!!!  At least we have Spring
Break to look forward to.  However,
many readersasked me for a Spring
Break Style post.  Here you go.
I searched the web and
I think I found the best of the best.
The feather T’s from Saks are so cute.
Someone has to buy that vintage Pucci
dress..it is a steal.  I bought one of the feather
earrings below and think they will be so
amazing to wear out to dinner in Miami
and I will wear them to death this summer!
I also LOVE LOVE the bags..such great
colors!!!

Book Club Monday

Today ‘s Book Club Monday is a book by one of my favorite people, Maria Schriver.   I admire Maria so much.  I have followed her career for ages, so when I saw her new book, I knew I had to get it right away.   I’ve Been Thinking……Reflections, Prayers and Meditations for a Meaningful Life is a book for people who are looking for wisdom, guidance and encouragement.  I have been listening to the audio book that is narrated by Maria herself and I am in love.  It is fabulous and so inspirational!!!  Here is the summary:

As a prominent woman juggling many roles, Maria Shriver knows just how surprising, unpredictable, and stressful everyday life can be.

In this moving and powerful book, she shares inspiring quotes, prayers, and reflections designed to get readers thinking, get them feeling, get them laughing, and help them in their journey to what she calls The Open Field–a place of acceptance, purpose, and passion–a place of joy.

I’ve Been Thinking . . . is ideal for anyone at any point in her life. Whether you feel like you’ve got it all together or like it’s all falling apart–whether you’re taking stock of your life or simply looking to recharge, this is the book you will turn to again and again. Like talking with a close friend, it’s the perfect companion–an exceptional gift for someone looking to move forward in life with hope and grace. – Amazon.com
