One of my all time favorite GO TO New York restaurants, Bond 45 was closed for over a year to relocate and renovate. It is a theater district favorite and a hangout of Broadway actors, producers, creators and theater makers . The food is consistently incredible and the location truly amazing, because it is convenient to all shows!! I cannot not tell you how many times I’d stop into Bond 45 pre theater or just meet a friend for a yummy dinner or to grab a quick bite with my kids. It is consistently good, the workers are so kind and they have you in and out with plenty of time for your show. I kid you not..I was lost without it. UNTIL!!!!!! TODAY!!!!! Bond 45 re-opened today in its new location 221 W 46th. It’s the same awesome menu and close proximity to parking BUT it is completely renovated. The broadway set designer of Hamilton, David Korins has completely designed the new space and it is suppose to be incredible. Plus they promise to still give you their famous chocolate peanut brittle to take with you as you are walking out the door. So if you are looking for me from now on..I will happily be back at Bond 45!!!! Bon Appetit!!!!
Last week I met this week’s Fashionable Friend Friday, Dr Gregory Brown, a Harvard trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon. Dr Brown believes that women look their best when they have the glow of healthy and youthful skin. This led him to merge his three dimensional understanding of the skin with Nobel Prize winning science to create his skin care line ReVive. ReVive is the only skin care line created by a plastic surgeon and it is INCREDIBLE. I was invited to the beautiful White Plains Neiman Marcus store to experience the ReVive facial for myself. I was so impressed with all of Dr. Brown’s products and was so delighted to be able to sit down with him and talk skin care. I swear my skin was glowing for days after the treatment. I am so happy to share the products with you….Bon Weekend!!
Last week I went to an amazing farm to table lunch at the Sono Baking Company in Norwalk with my friends at MaxEx PR. You have to check out this bakery. The sweets, and breakfast pastries were incredible and we tried ALOT!!! The soups and salads and paninis are out of this world. There are two locations, one in Norwalk and one in Darien. They also have an extensive catering menu…I know where I am getting food for my next event!!!! They served us the most incredible skirt steak with sautéed leaks. I had to share the recipe with you. What a delicious meal this would make for my family and yours too!!!! Bon Appetit!!!!
Grilled Skirt Steak
Hangar and Flank Steak would work also
Rub both sides of steak with olive oil. Salt and Pepper to taste
Grill to desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest. Cut in thin slices
Sauteed Leeks
Cut leeks into 1/4″ pieces. Wash and drain
Saute in 2Tbsp each butter and olive oil Salt and pepper to taste
As you can see, both were very simple recipes that let the food shine.

I am starting to think of fall decor, inside and out. I want to do something different with my planters. I love the look of all of the arrangements below……especially the ones with the pumpkins. I would love to incorporate a pumpkin or two in my outdoor planters. A trick I heard that makes pumpkins last longer (and keeps the squirrels away) is to spray them with a clear varnish like this. Happy Planting!!!
