When I was at the incredible Italian market Teitel Brothers on Arthur Ave, they offered to give me a recipe to post. I was so excited and knew that I had to ask for an authentic Italian Bolognese (or meat) sauce recipe. It is definitely one of my daughter’s favorite. So I thought it would be awesome to be able to perfect it at home!! Bon Appetit!!!!

1 cup celery chopped 1 cup carrots chopped 1 cup onions chopped 3-4 cloves of garlic aprox. 1 pound each: ground beef, veal, pork 2 cans plum tomatoes 1 cup red wine beef bouillon salt pepper bay leaf nutmeg parsley for garnish
Sautee the celery, carrots, onions and garlic in extra virgin olive oil until brown. Set aside.
Brown meat mixture. Add vegetables. Add red wine and tomatoes, bay leaf, pinch of salt, pepper, nutmeg and beef bouillon to taste. Simmer on low for 1 1/2-2 hours
