Fall Apple Caramel Bread Pudding!!!
Serves: 8

4 cups day old brioche or challah bread (medium dice)

1 cup milk

1 cup cream

2 eggs

½ tsp. cinnamon

½ tsp. nutmeg

½ tsp. vanilla extract

½ raisins

1 apple (small dice)

2 tbsp. butter

1 oz. bourbon

1 tbsp. brown sugar

We recommend 2” ramekins for individual portions.

Instructions:

• Preheat oven to 350°.
• Cut bread and lay it out on a sheet pan.
• Drizzle bread with melted butter and bake for 4 minutes until crispy. (this will help keep it’s shape when it soaks)
• Heat milk and cream in a sauce pan and bring to a simmer.
• In a mixing bowl, combine eggs, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla extract. Mix well.
• Slowly add the combined eggs, sugar and spices to the hot milk/cream and stir well.
• Peel and cut apple and put in a sauce pan with bourbon. Add raisins and brown sugar and heat on low, just to slightly soften approximately 2 mins.
• Add to liquid bowl as well as the bread cubes and let soak for 5-10. Pour batter into a greased ramekin and bake for 20 mins.

• Let set for 10 minutes before removing from ramekins. Serve warm.

Mirror Mirror On The Wall

I am so in love with the recent window at our Sponsor’s Patdo Light Studio.  Patdo has been the go to for me and my mom for years for lighting and decorative accents for the home.  I am so happy that they devoted their fall window to all the gorgeous mirrors that they stock.  Mari-Lou at Patdo has the best taste so Contact Her with any questions on any of the items featured below.  Also another reader contacted me today to tell me that all the Kalffs locations have closed and she is soooo thankful for the HUGE selection at Patdo.  It was a lifesaver for her…she went in and did one shop shopping, with the best customer service, for her entire renovation.

Whole Foods Haul

Now that the school year is back in full swing…I keep getting asked, what are some of our favorite healthy snacks to send to school with my kids. I usually do my big weekly shop (meats, fruits, La Croix, milk (almond), veggies, etc) at Pea Pod Stop and Shop and supplement with a few of our favorite things from Whole Foods.  It usually varies from week to week but I did a short video of some of the staples that come home with us almost every time we shop there.  I hope you like these and let me know some of your Whole Foods Favs!!!

Harry Potter and The Cursed Child

Happy October!!!!! but we are already starting to think about the Holiday season….We have a limited number of tickets for Harry Potter on Broadway for 2 dates in the new year, January 6th (for those families who have college students home on break) and February 10th.  This show is seen in two parts, Part 1, the Matinee at 2:00 and Part 2, at 7.  The cost per ticket is $525 for both parts for the January show and $450 for the February show.  What a perfect family Holiday gift.  This show is so popular and we are really lucky to get the group pricing.  The same tickets are selling on stub hub for sooo much more…Email me nicolesteinthal@Me.com to reserve your spot.  There will be a printed flyer sent to you explaining your gift of the show for you to put under the tree!!!!  Lastly, here is the summary of the show!!!

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, a new play by Jack Thorne, received its world premiere in June 2016 at the Palace Theatre in London, where it plays to sold-out houses.

The critically acclaimed play has won 22 major theatre awards in the UK and is the most-awarded play in the history of Britain’s prestigious Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking nine awards including Best New Play and Best Director.
