Happy Easter!!! I hope everyone had a really great day however you celebrated this Easter. I enjoyed the day safely with all of our family and we had a lot of laughs. The mood was definitely much brighter than it had been in the past year!! I have been waiting to share this fun virtual event with you. I have partnered with the talented artist Katy Garry for a tulip painting party on April 13th from 7:30-8:30 via Zoom. Katy is going to provide all of the painting supplies beforehand and includes some special gifts for each participant. Also, NS Lifestyles will also provide a special gift bag too to also help welcome spring. Here are some photos from some of Katie’s prior parties. I love the way the paintings turned out and I cannot wait for our night. Spots are extremely limited and the cost for the entire class is $60, which includes all supplies, the painting lessons, and all the little extra gifts on us!! Email me to save your spot.
I am always up for an adventure…around Valentine’s Day a give-a-way came up on my feed. It was from a Bakery in the Bronx called Conti’s Pastry Shop. I did not win the prize but I did start messaging with them. I asked them to tell me some of their most popular items and found out that they deliver to Westchester, on the weekends. I made a plan to go into their shop today and I have to say I was blown away. The store is located on Morris Park Ave and it was really easy to get to and park right out front. I wanted to take a video for you but since it is Easter weekend they were pretty busy but I was able to get some great photos. I tasted a few of the pastries, which were really really good. We tried the Nutella ice coffee which was so delicious. I recommend driving to the bakery just for that. Their gorgeous cakes are probably the most popular items, you should have seen some of the ones coming out of the shop today!! But, their coffee bombs have been a huge seller. They come in many different flavors and you just drop one in warm milk. I cannot wait to try mine tomorrow morning. I sent a bunch of assorted sweets to a friend’s house tonight and they are now driving there tomorrow for more!!!! So now I finally have a new answer to the question that I probably get once a week, “Do you know a good Bakery?”.
I am so happy to introduce you to a new amazing shop in Larchmont called Taaru Majeure. The Shop owner Mama Faye has the best eye. She imports all of her items from Senegal and she told me that the name Taaru means beauty. And everything she sells is truly a work of beauty. I went to her shop last week and was blown away by the fabulous selection of merchandise. I honestly could have brought everything home with me. Here are some of my favorite items but you can also check out the Taaru Majeure website as well.
The selection of bags, made from calf hair and exotic skins is incredible. Also, those fabric bangles are so affordable and look so great stacked. They will be perfect for the summer.
The straw bags and vessels are fabulous. And Mama designed these half moon wristlets. They are perfect to hold your cell phone during a night out.
Some of the best items were the tabletop section. The woven placemats are perfection. They would be so gorgeous on any table. But I am really excited to invite friends over and use mine out on my patio.
There is also a beautiful selection of decorative pillows in all colors. This geometric neutral was my favorite!!!
A nice surprise in the shop was that Mama designs the most beautiful dresses. I am soooo upset that I left this one behind. It was so incredible…and the sleeve…TO DIE FOR!!!
Here are some of her blouse offerings. The colors are so vibrant and would look great with white jeans!!
More vessels and placemats. Also check out the decorative fabric clutches. That royal and turquoise is incredible.
These larger baskets would look good in a family room, kitchen or even a pool house.
I am dying for a neutral one. Sooo fabulous!!!
OK, so this look was my favorite. I ended up with this dress and I am sure those of you who know me are not surprised. I, unfortunately, had to leave the pink fur bag behind but it was sooo hard!!!! PS look at the gorgeous blue pillow in the background!!
There is an entire wall dedicated to fragrance and another to Mama’s own all natural skin care (thats for another post!!!).
More tabletop items. The assortment also includes woven trays, bowls and coasters. I cannot wait to set a table with all of these..
Another bag favorite in zebra hair calf!!!
Go Visit Mama and check out all of her beautiful things for yourself. I’ll probably see you there!!!!!

Before you decide on investing, you should find the right avenue that will make it possible to fulfill your expectations and meet your financial objectives. For generations, investing in gold has been one of the best avenues to utilize and achieve financial stability. It is also among the trickiest investment options as it calls for practical information and direction. So, how can you invest productively in gold?
The most common form of bullion that people own and invest in is gold bars. Most people and corporations prefer to buy gold bullion as they contain at least 99.5% purity. You can also purchase the bullion at a per-ounce value of the gold concentration. The refining of gold bullion ensures that most pass a certain level of purity needed in the market. It is advantageous to purchase gold bars as the cost in the market is always appreciating. You can also buy or sell your gold bullion in the form of coins. This is vital as you can easily transport and store your gold. You should note that when trading your gold, you should be considerate of the weight value. This is essential as it determines the quality of your investment.
When you are looking to gain more profits in your investment sooner rather than later, you should consider buying gold futures. It is beneficial to invest in gold futures as you don’t trade gold itself but rather the profit difference between its current price and the expected value change. As an investor, to make a projection on the futures markets based on the current market. You can easily predict how much your investment will be worth in a short while when you consider gold futures than any other form of gold investment.
It is common to see people keeping their important and precious things at the banks. Family heirlooms, cash, mortgages, will, and investments are just but a few of the many important things people keep safe in banks. You should note that you are also investing in the bank when you seek their services to keep your gold safe. With a gold account, you are also keeping and protecting your investment in one of the different ways you can apply. A gold account becomes beneficial when the bank buys it at a cost, but you remain the owner or when the bank uses it in its investments, and you get the value of its trading in return.
The gold price keeps on fluctuating each hour and each minute. You should keep an eye on the stock market to know how valuable gold is at the right moment. When you consider exchange-traded funds, you get a chance of profiting from the gold market fluctuations. This is also beneficial because you buy the security on the investment instead of the investment itself. You should understand that buying gold in exchange does not necessarily mean the physical state but its worth. It is easier for your gold to be worth billions in the right market and at the right time, making it an instrumental investment.
You can effectively invest in history by buying numismatic gold coins. The difference with bullion gold coins comes with their weight value. They also have historical value as most of the coins have been in existence for years and passed through generations. Most of the numismatic coins have special marks and historical dates that also raise their net value. You will have one of the highest levels of private wealth when you consider buying gold numismatic coins. You should work with a certified gold dealer and make your investment worthwhile.
Investing in gold is a venture that only a few and the bold are willing to pursue. In the right market, you cannot understate the value of gold. Having the right guidance on the best ways to invest in gold, as stated above, becomes beneficial in the long run.
I love the series Emily In Paris. Everything about it was wonderful but there was one scene that really stood out for me. Emily, Gabriel, and Camille go to an Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit and they are literally surrounded by Van Gogh’s painting through incredible digital installations. I began researching this exhibit and saw it was traveling to many places but NY. I swore I would somehow get to one of the US exhibits…AND THEN….I got an email that it was coming it NYC!!!! It is opening on June 10 at an undisclosed location and you can buy your tickets HERE. I have included, at the end of this post, all the safety measures that have been implemented for this exhibit. If you can I would try to go!!!!
Immersive Van Gogh was created by the world-renowned master of digital art, Italy’s Massimiliano Siccardi, who for 30 years has been pioneering immersive exhibitions in Europe. His magnificent installations have been seen by over 2 million visitors in Paris.
With the help of 60,600 frames of video, 90,000,000 pixels, and 500,000+ cubic feet of projections, this captivating digital art exhibit merges state-of-the-art technology, theatrical storytelling, and world-class animation.
It gives guests the rare opportunity to “step inside” and experience the incredible post-Impressionist works of Van Gogh like never before. Immersive Van Gogh will be making its mark at a secret NYC location, to be announced soon.
Immersive Van Gogh has risen to blockbuster status. Immersive Van Gogh sold out its run in Toronto, has sold out and extended its run in Chicago, and is opening in San Francisco in March, where its first month is sold-out. The forthcoming May opening in Los Angeles saw over 80,000 timed-entry admissions sold in the first week of sales. Collectively, over half a million tickets have been sold.
Immersive Van Gogh has received rave reviews from critics worldwide. The Chicago Tribune wrote, “entire rooms pulse with imagery and emotional resonance.” The Toronto Sun declared, “the mind-blowing imagery, brings van Gogh’s best work to life — including Sunflower, Irises, and The Starry Night — for a cathartic and liberating experience”. “Immersive Van Gogh ups the emotional ante”, Debra Yeo of the Toronto Star stated, “I wondered: could projections of paintings on walls and floors be thrilling? The answer is ‘yes.’” Called a “completely new way of encountering art” by CTV and a “blockbuster digital experience that has taken the art world by storm” by Artnet News, the exhibit “cleverly embraces creativity,” according to Washington Post
For Your Safety While Visiting The Exhibit:
I love these articles where you learn how to use simple everyday items to do something really helpful around the house. I saw this list on Pinterest and I thought what a great monthly column this would be. All of the tips are so good. I love the one about the hard-boiled eggs, the one about limes and headaches and also the many uses for Alka- Seltzer!!! But they really are all good!!!!

1. Stuff a miniature marshmallow in the bottom of a sugar cone to prevent ice cream drips.
2. Use a meat baster to “squeeze” your pancake batter onto the hot griddle and you’ll get perfectly shaped pancakes every time….
3. To keep potatoes from budding, place an apple in the bag with the potatoes.
4. To prevent eggshells from cracking, add a pinch of salt to the water before hard-boiling.
5. Run your hands under cold water before pressing Rice Krispies treats in the pan and the marshmallow won’t stick to your fingers.
6. To get the most juice out of fresh lemons, bring them to room temperature and roll them under your palm against the kitchen counter before squeezing.
7. To easily remove burnt on food from your skillet, simply add a drop or two of dish soap and enough water to cover bottom of pan, and bring to a boil on the stovetop.
8. Spray your Tupperware with nonstick cooking spray before pouring in tomato-based sauces and there won’t be any stains.
9. When a cake recipe calls for flouring the baking pan, use a bit of the dry cake mix instead and there won’t be any white mess on outside of the cake.
10. If you accidentally over-salt a dish while it’s still cooking, drop in a peeled potato and it will absorb the excess salt for an instant “fix me up.”
11. Wrap celery in aluminum foil when putting in the refrigerator and it will keep for weeks.
12. Place a slice of apple in hardened brown sugar to soften it.
13. When boiling corn on the cob, add a pinch of sugar to help bring out the corn’s natural sweetness.
14. To determine whether an egg is fresh, immerse it in a pan of cool, salted water. If it sinks, it is fresh, but if it rises to the surface, throw it away.
15. Cure for headaches: Take a lime, cut it in half and rub it on your forehead. The throbbing will go away.
16. Don’t throw out all that leftover wine: Freeze into ice cubes for future use in casseroles and sauces.
17. If you have a problem opening jars: Try using latex dishwashing gloves. They give a non-slip grip that makes opening jars easy.
18. Potatoes will take food stains off your fingers. Just slice and rub raw potato on the stains and rinse with water.
19. To get rid of itch from mosquito bites, try applying soap on the area and you will experience instant relief.
20. Ants, ants, ants everywhere … Well, they are said to never cross a chalk line. So get your chalk out and draw a line on the floor or wherever ants tend to march. See for yourself.
21. Now look what you can do with Alka Seltzer:
Clean a toilet. Drop in two Alka-Seltzer tablets, wait twenty minutes, brush and flush. The citric acid and effervescent action clean vitreous china.
Clean a vase. To remove a stain from the bottom of a glass vase or cruet, fill with water and drop in two Alka-Seltzer tablets.
Polish jewelry. Drop two Alka-Seltzer tablets into a glass of water and immerse the jewelry for two minutes.
Clean a thermos bottle. Fill the bottle with water, drop in four Alka-Seltzer tablets, and let soak for an hour (or longer, if necessary).
Unclog a drain. Clear the sink drain by dropping three Alka-Seltzer tablets down the drain followed by a cup of Heinz White Vinegar. Wait a few minutes, then run the hot water
