This week’s Book Club Monday is My Kitchen Year: 136 Recipes That Saved My Life by Ruth Reichl. Ms Reichl was the food critic for the New York Time and most recently the Editor in Chief of Gourmet Magazine. When Gourmet suddenly shuttered, she was left feeling shockend and misplaced, and thus this book was born. It was chosen as Amazon’s Best Book of October 2015. This is not only is a great read for youself, it would be a great Holiday gift for all the foodies in your life.

I just bought this last week!!!! Strange though, the cover photo is different on mine than the one in your post. One of my top 3 favorite books of all time is Ruth Reichl's "Garlic and Sapphires" – a must read!!! It's from back when she was the the Food Critic for the NY Times and she would dress in a different character, invented by her, whenever she went into a restaurant she was researching. She didn't want to be recognized and given royal treatment, she wanted to be treated like a regular customer. It ultimately read like a biography. It was so clever in how it was written and each chapter ended with the review she published in The Times. xoxoxo
