Welcome Westchester Smoothie

My Blog Sponsor Kate just started Westchester Smoothie. She believes that life can get busy and that it’s too easy to eat junk to get through your day. Thankfully for us, Kate has hand-crafted nutrient-dense smoothie blends, ready in just 60 seconds, hassle-free, and here to help you feel your best, all day long.

Kate is here to help. Gone are the days of having to carve out time to go to the grocery store, wander every aisle, and wait in long lines, just to remember you forgot your wallet in the car. Let alone the many trials it takes for you to find the perfect combination of ingredients that don’t make you question what you just put in the blend for something to taste so bad.

Kate handles all the shopping and prep for you, all that’s left for you to do is blend it up when you are ready, and BOOM, right then and there you have a healthy option for a snack, breakfast, or meal replacement.

Both of Kate’s smoothies are crafted with gut health in mind, which is the foundation of everything and keeps you feeling your best all day long. Fuel your body with superfoods and protein, not high fructose corn syrup and saturated fats. It is the easiest way to support your digestive health.

With two exciting flavors to pick from, there is sure to be a recipe with your name on it. Each smoothie blend is packed with 21 grams of protein, leaving you full while also satisfying your tastebuds. Choose between Chocolate Dream and Berry Blast.

Delivered right to your door, all that is left for you to do is toss the contents in a blender and just like that, you have a protein-packed, gut health-focused, nutritious smoothie.  Place your order today and see for yourself the power of superfoods fueling your day!

What are the benefits of having a smoothie?

Having a smoothie is an easy way to get your fruits, veggies, and protein-packed into a sippable drink during a busy day. They can be delicious too when you mix in the right ingredients and get creative with your flavor combinations!

Are smoothies a good way to get nutrition?

Yes, absolutely, with the right ingredients. The recipes I promote focus on gut health and digestive support and are packed with protein, antioxidants, healthy fats, and superfoods.
What’s the difference between juicing and smoothies?

Juicing extracts the water and nutrients from produce while smoothies blend the whole food substance. There are pros and cons to both, it just depends on what health benefits you’re looking for. I personally enjoy both!

Can you get the same health benefits with smoothies as you get from juices?

It really comes down to what you’re looking for to support your health. I recommend consulting with a holistic doctor or nutritionist to see what nutritional plan is best for your dietary needs. Personally, I lean on leafy greens, and citrus-forward juices early in my day to help me hydrate, and usually do a smoothie as lunch or a late snack later in the day depending on my hunger level.

What’s the big deal about organic?

Organic for the most part means the food comes from a cleaner source without pesticides or fertilizers. It can be pricier than standard products but can be seen as an investment in your health. Study up though, not all fruits and vegetables need to be organic so if you want to keep an eye on your wallet, dig in and do your research! For example, if you can, you want to buy organic blueberries because you consume the skins. Bananas and avocados, however, could be a place where you make exceptions because the skins of these types of products aren’t consumed.

Aren’t smoothies filled with calories?

Personally, I count the steps I take and the hugs I get in a day, I haven’t counted calories in years! I focus on fueling my body with nutritious foods, caloric value aside. Remember when we thought low-fat Snackwells were healthy?! Nutrition has come a long way in recent years. Calories aren’t our enemies, we need them to keep our bodies moving. We want good calories though, not empty calories that will leave us hungry (or hungry even!). Again, always review your nutrition plan with your doctor but there are higher-fat foods that are great nutrient sources like avocado, grass-fed butter, MCT oil, nuts + seeds, and omega-3-rich fish. Where you can try to avoid saturated fats, sodium, and foods with added sugars.

The Top Ways To Keep Your Patio Areas & Driveways Clean

Keeping the outside of your property clean is just as important as keeping the inside clean and so this is why many homeowners spend a lot of money every single year making sure that their patio areas are looking brand-new and their driveways are looking good as well. We all want to make the right first impression every single time and it doesn’t matter if it is family that is coming to visit or just people that are driving through the local neighborhood because we want to make our homes look inviting and well taken care of.

Here in the Northeast, the outside of our properties take a beating throughout the year and if it isn’t the rain or snow then it is the direct sunlight trying to damage the surfaces of our patio areas and driveways. We are all so busy and thus have very little time to keep these areas clean all by ourselves and so this is a time when you can turn to professionals likethe incredibly popular Prestige Surfaces to do all of the hard work for you. These guys can offer their sealing services as well as their cleaning services as well. For the rest of the year, however, the following are just some of the top ways that will help you to keep your patio areas and driveways clean.

  1. Invest in a good brush – Believe it or not but a good brush is hard to come back and this is the tool that you will use to keep both your patio area and your driveway clean throughout the year. If you have trees around your property then it’s likely that the ground will be covered with leaves and you need to remove these as often as possible because once they begin to rot and decay, they can damage the surface of any patio or driveway. Take the time every week to brush away any dirt and debris which is one step when renovating your backyard and this will stop the weeds from popping up.
  2. Soapy water is your friend – While you are waiting for your professional surface cleaner to come to your property, you can do your little bit to keep the area clean; it may seem like common sense but using some warm water and cleaning detergent is a great way to keep surfaces looking good. If you find that any areas of your patio are stained then maybe consider adding a little bit of bleach to the area to clean it all up. If you spill any oil, make sure that you clean this up straight away and use lots of soap and elbow grease to remove it from your driveway.

You could also invest in a household pressure washer which is incredibly affordable nowadays and it will help to keep all of your surfaces clean until the real professionals come along and provide you with a patio surface and a driveway that looks brand-new again.
