A Gold Thanksgiving Table

I think I finally have decided on my Thanksgiving table just in the nick of time…One week to go.  I am loving the idea of doing a gold and white table with Turkey accent plates.  The look is elegant but remains slightly rustic with the inclusion of the antler candlesticks, horn knives and magnolia leaves.  I also love the simplicity of the napkins with the holiday sentiments combined with the faux fur table runner.  AND, I always have to add a little feather touch, so these napkins rings are perfect.

With Bells On!!!!!!

Bell Sleeves are all the rage and I could not be happier.  I absolutely love this look.  There is something about an exaggerated sleeve that really dresses up an outfit.  I have chosen some great choices for you below.  The cool thing is, is that this trend is available in many options, both style and price.  Whether you choose a dress, a cozy sweater or a sleek blouse it is time to add a bell sleeve piece or pieces (!!!!) to your wardrobe.

Say No To Faux

As you are getting ready for Holiday decorating, there is one rule I hope to pass onto you is say NO to FAUX.  Flower arrangements these days are so easy to create.  As my friend Eddie Ross once told me, anything goes, so you can basically throw weeds in a vase and you have a sytlish arangement.  Faux flowers are totally out of place in a well put together home.  As a rule of thumb, I avoid any fake natural elements, flowers, trees, plants, pumpkins, fruits, ANYTHING.  Trust me I have been tempted.  Even orchids are so inexpensve these days that you can easily switch them out when they start to diminish (however they do last sooo long).   I have put together a bunch of simple arrangments for you.  Whole Foods and Trader Joes are an amazing resouces for inexpensive flowers and greens, of all types, and they are constantly changing their selection.  But most supermarkets and home depots have ever expanding floral sections.  Happy Arranging!

Cutco

I was introduced to Cutco knives a few years ago.  I was not expecting much.  I was invited to a Cutco house party and bought a few things.  Little did I know that those would become the favorite tools in my kitchen.  I have the trimmer and the french knife, the spreader (which is amazing) and the peeler. They are as sharp today as the day I got them.  However, I had lost touch with Cutco, since they are sold via local representatives, until my son’s parents weekend.  I met the nicest boy at Providence College, Dillon Foley.  We started talking and he told me he sold cutco and he was one of the highest sales producer in the country.  Actually, Dillon sold so many Cutco items that he earned a scholarship to Providence College and is working towards another one!!!  Soooo I thought I would share Cutco and Dillon with you (he really is my Fashionable Friend Friday but I thought the title would embarass him!!!!!!!).  He put together this video for my readers and you can check the complete online catalogue HERE and email Dillon with any questions dilloncfoley@gmail.com.  Stay tuned there are going to be a few Cutco products in my Holiday Gift Guides coming soon!!!  Bon Weekend!
