This weeks fashionable “friend” is Aerin Lauder. Even though we are not “friends” in the traditional sense of the word, I only met her once at a book signing….. We ARE Instagram friends!!!! Over Thanksgiving weekend, she posted a photo of herself in her Southampton store wearing this wonderful outfit. It is the perfect mix of casual/chic.

Another fun holiday tradition is to attend a floral design class to make a Christmas Centerpiece. Today a few friends and I are going to have a demonstration by a floral designer from the Botanical Gardens and make our own arrangements. It’s a fun way to spend some creative time together during this very busy time of year.

Last night I saw the Nutcracker. It got me thinking about Holiday parties and merriment. A wonderful tradition is to host a party to celebrate the season with your friends and family. Here are some festive ideas for the hostess. I have also included the recipe for Martha’s “BEST” Christmas punch.
Martha’s Best Christmas Punch
- 2 cups chilled pomegranate juice
- 1 cup chilled cranberry juice
- 8 ounces (1 cup) vodka
- 8 ounces (1 cup) Cointreau or other orange-flavored liqueur
- 1 cup chilled club soda
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (from 6 lemons)
- 1/2 cup Simple Syrup

Combine pomegranate and cranberry juice, vodka,
Cointreau, club soda, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a
punch bowl. Fill glasses with cranberries frozen in ice cubes,
and serve. Garnish with lemon slices if desired.
