Ice Skating for the Holidays

Fashionable Friend Friday

My Fashionable Friends, in my Book Club, were discussing creating Christmas Traditions.  These ladies really have it going on and give me so many fabulous tips all year long regarding fashion, cooking, decorating and so much more.  As a online gift to these fabulous ladies, I am going to do a week of blogs devoted to creating Christmas Memories!!!

Every year, my daughters and their friends get together and make a special Christmas treat to share during the Holidays.  I found this amazing chocolate croissant recipe online.  How great would it be to make them in advance, store them in an adorable Christmas tin and give them as gifts so the recipient can bake them on Christmas Morning (remember to remind them to keep them refrigerated until the 25!!).  Happy Baking!

Christmas Chocolate Croissants
Ingredients:
1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or broken Hershey Bars or Nutella
1 large egg, beaten
1/4 teaspoon shortening, optional
Directions:

Heat oven to 350F degrees. Line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper.

Separate crescent roll dough into 8 triangles. Place about 1 Tablespoon of chocolate chips/chunks on top of each triangle. Reserve remaining chocolate chips.

Roll up, starting from wide end. Place onto baking sheet and curve into croissant shape. Brush the croissants lightly with beaten egg.

Bake 12 to 17 minutes or until deep golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet and let cool for 5 minutes. Melt the remaining chocolate in the microwave, Add shortening to thin chocolate if desired. Drizzle over croissants and serve warm. Enjoy!!

The Elephant Man Broadway

RUN To See Bradley Cooper on Broadway as The Elephant Man. He was really amazing. My friend and I battled the horrible Nor’Easter to drive into the city to see Bradley. We had the tickets since September and were soooooo excited, that wild horses could not keep us away. The show did not disappoint. The entire cast was brilliant. It also helped that Katie Holmes was sitting in front of us to the left and Steven Spielberg was in front of us to the right!!!! Totally exciting!!!
