Here are the highlights from this year’s Southampton summer trip. I wish I was spending more time Out East this summer but I am going to spend the rest of August with my parents, which is the best gift I could truly ask for. However, we did jam in so much in the time we were in Southampton. The greatest part was that we were with our cousins and enjoyed everything together, endless beach hours, gourmet ice coffees, boat rides around Sag, incredible sunset dinners, the list goes on and on. We are already planning next year’s trip, it was that AWESOME!!!!
This recipe is incredible….if you are looking to try a yummy healthy alternative to chicken parm or even lasagna, this is for you. I swear you are going to want to eat the entire tray!!! Bon Appetit!!!
This is one of my favorite posts all summer!!!!! Last month my uber talented friend Stephanie had a gorgeous bday party under the most spectacular tent!!! On one side was this incredible wicker seating (see below). I became obsessed with everything wicker. And, not your mother’s white wicker either…the most gorgeous natural colored vintage rattan style. Once I was on the hunt, it began popping up everywhere. I still need to take the plunge but I am closer to owning a chic piece of my own!!!!
As you know from reading this blog…I am obsessed with Gwyneth Paltrow. She can do no wrong in my book!!! I was super excited to visit her Pop Up Shop in Amagansett, Goop Market. The store was as cool and sleek as Gwynnie herself. I highlighted some of my favoirte items below. The dresses were so beautiful and the shoes and accessories incredible. The skin care section was so impressive, highlighting Gwyneth’s own favorites. Many of the Pop Up assortment is available online as well. Honestly I could have moved right in!!!!!!
Today’s Book Club Monday book is Out East: Houses and Gardens of the Hamptons. I really love this book. It totally captures all of the beauty of the East End!!! It is full of amazing photos of homes, landscapes, ocean views and so much more. Here is the lovely descprition of the book:
This week’s Fashionable Friend Friday is handbag designer Judith Leiber. I recently visited the Leiber Museum and Gardens in East Hampton and was blown away seeing all of her beautiful creations in one location. I always admired the beautiful jeweled Leiber bags. I loved hearing Judith’s history. She was schooled at Kings College in London before WWII. She trained at a handbag company where she learned the craft of stitching, cutting, molding, framing and making bag patterns. Judith eventually became the first woman to join the Hungarian Handbag Guild but then the war broke out in her home of Hungary and her family was able to obtain a safe passage document. She eventually married Gerson Leiber, a sergeant in the US army and they moved to New York City in 1947. She founded her own business in 1963 after working for other companies. The museum opened in 2005. Here are some of the highlights from a wonderful day!
