Everyone Has An Apple Watch

I’ve attended a few events lately and one night at a dinner in New York City, I looked around the table and noticed that I was the only one not wearing an Apple Watch.  I could not believe it….I felt the entire room was wearing Apple Watches.  I really loved the way that each person styled their watch.  One girl told me that she has a band to match every outfit, someone else had a repurposed Louis Vuitton watch strap and there was even an Apple Watch on a chain (I love the pocket watch idea below).  There were all sorts of bracelet stacks along with the watch.  I started thinking..the Apple Watch is the “IT” accessory of the season.  Here are some fun ways to style your own watch.  As for me, I am still Apple Watch free!!!!

Book Club Monday

Today’s Book Club choice, Palm Beach by the stylish Aerin Lauder makes the most incredible gift or treat for yourself.  It is full of photos and places that Aerin herself has come to love from spending time in Palm Beach.

Early in the 1900s, one-time oil baron Henry Morrison Flagler took interest in the Southern coast of Florida and began developing an exclusive resort community. Establishing a railroad that would allow easier access to the area, he went on to build two hotels his hope was that America s first families would come to populate the area. This modest community would later evolve into an iconic American destination, hosting British royalty, American movie stars, and becoming the home-away-from-home to some of the country s leading families. As the century continued, Palm Beach established itself as a luxury hideaway synonymous with old-world glamour and new-world sophistication. In this splendid volume, longtime resident and Palm Beach social fixture Aerin Lauder takes us through her Palm Beach. From favorite restaurants like Nandos and Renatos, to favorite houses like La Follia and Villa Artemis, she takes us to the elite shopping of Worth Avenue and the scenic walkways of the Lake Worth trail, all the while relating to us the histories, faces, and places that have become so identified with Palm Beach.

A Dining Room Sideboard

I love the look of a dining room side board.  Last Thanksgiving was the beginning of the end of my Dining Room.  I know I have written about this but the day after Thanksgiving I was cleaning under my glass top table and I don’t know what happened but it shattered in a million pieces.  I was devastated.  Since then that room has snowballed.   I really think what was missing all this time..was a good looking sideboard.  I started doing a research.  What do you think of these….head over to instagram to see what I ended up choosing!!!!!

West Side Story A New Broadway Revival

“There are very few musicals that were written years ago that feel like they were created this morning!!!”  We just got tickets for the highly anticipated Broadway revival of West Side Story for January 15th at 8:00 pm in the Orchestra for $155.  Email me to save your spot!!! The dancing looks amazing..I cannot wait!!!

West Side Story, the most exciting musical theater masterpiece of the 20th century.

When four theatrical giants — Jerome Robbins, Leonard Bernstein, Arthur Laurents and Stephen Sondheim — created West Side Story, it was immediately hailed as an “indisputable, boundary-busting masterpiece” (The New York Times) that “explodes every imaginable idea of what a musical can be” (New York Magazine). Now, three of the most daring theater-makers of our time — director Ivo van Hove (A View From the Bridge and The Crucible), choreographer Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, and designer and frequent Van Hove collaborator Jan Versweyveld — offer a radical, thrilling new interpretation of this iconic work, with extraordinary dancing, breathtaking vision, and 23 young, brilliantly gifted performers all making their Broadway debuts. Don’t miss this opportunity to see a landmark in musical theater history as if for the very first time.

Fortina At Home

One of our favorite restaurants, Fortina is now offering At Home meal kits.  East kit contains a salad, pasta and dessert.  You can order a meal for 2 or 4 people and you can call any Fortina location within 24 hours in advance to order (soon they will be available to ship nationwide!!!!).  I am not really great with At Home meal kits but I decided to take the plunge with this one since we are HUGE Fortina fans.  The recipes/directions were so easy to follow.  All of the ingredients were fresh and laid out exactly for each step.  And OMG did everything smell sooooo good when I was preparing it.  Our kit contained, arugula salad with lemon vinaigrette dressing, baked ziti with Fortina’s homemade herbed ricotta and Nutella cannolis for dessert.  Everything was so simple to prepare and so delicious. I cannot wait to try another!!!  Click HERE to view the full Fortina At Home menu!!!

The pick up was super quick!!  Everything was waiting for us!!

Getting ready to prepare the salad….

Next up… the pasta…

Lastly the DESSERT!!!!!

Voila!!!!!!  Bon Appetit!!!!

4th of July Outfits

I love 4th of July….its such a fun holiday.  Everyone really gets into the Red White and Blue.  Here are some of my favorite fashion picks for you to watch the fireworks.  I really cannot decide which I love the most….It might be the blue tunic.  I know its a splurge but I cannot help but think that it would look amazing with white jeans….
