Several studies reveal that caffeine has the potential to boost body metabolism by almost 11%. It means that the body will consume or burn more fat to produce energy. In certain circumstances, caffeine might increase energy expenditure at rest. While, with low-intensity expenditure, it also supports fat oxidation. However, the effects are less visible while high or moderate-intensity exercise.

Another study on humans concluded that consuming 100 to 460 Mg of EGCG with 80 to 300 Mg of caffeine for almost 12 weeks might reduce body fat and weight loss.
