A nutritional supplement is a broad term used to describe those dietary supplements that improve diet and contain minerals, amino acids, vitamins, or herbs. Dietary supplements contain a diverse group of health and medical practices, care systems, and products. They differ from conventional medicines.

Not all nutritional supplements are fat burners. However, particular supplements might be called fat burners. To understand it better, you should learn what fat burners are.

  • Caffeine

1,3,7-trimethylxanthine or caffeine is a derivative alkaloid present in a variety of beverages and food. If consumed in desirable doses, caffeine works in favor of the body. Caffeine present in coffee and teas are safe if consumed in moderation. Besides, coffee without additives and extra sugar includes several antioxidants that benefit body health. Yellow vietnam kratom effects are quite similar to caffeine, therefore you can try that as well.

Several studies reveal that caffeine has the potential to boost body metabolism by almost 11%. It means that the body will consume or burn more fat to produce energy. In certain circumstances, caffeine might increase energy expenditure at rest. While, with low-intensity expenditure, it also supports fat oxidation. However, the effects are less visible while high or moderate-intensity exercise.

According to a review of several studies, in 2019, “caffeine intake might promote weight, BMI, and body fat reduction.” Consuming caffeine alone does not show much impact on weight. It might boost metabolism, but the effect is negligible. If a nutritional supplement contains caffeine, you might describe it as a fat burner.

  • EGCG

Epigallocatechin Gallate or EGCG is a kind of plant-based substance known as catechin. You can further classify catechins into a broader group of plant compounds called polyphenols.

EGCG is helpful in weight loss, mainly when consumed with caffeine. Although most studies reveal that the impact of EGCG on weight is inconsistent, long-term analysis research states that intake of a particular amount ( approx the amount present in 434 ml or 14.7 ounces or 2 cups of green tea) EGCG might affect body weight and fat.

Another study on humans concluded that consuming 100 to 460 Mg of EGCG with 80 to 300 Mg of caffeine for almost 12 weeks might reduce body fat and weight loss. Besides burning fat, EGCG is also known for its anti-inflammatory effect, antioxidant effect, and property to maintain heart and brain health.

  • Antioxidant Fruits

You might have read the word antioxidant in a health-related story, feature, or a health magazine. They are a popular and vital nutrient. The US Department of Agriculture classifies different categories of antioxidants, such as Phytonutrients, Anthocyanins, Resveratrol, and Isoflavones. Scientists call antioxidants free radical scavengers. Like scavengers eat up the dead and decaying animals and insects, antioxidants kill free radicals.

Free radicals are those molecules that attack functional molecules that encourage several body functions. Thus, free radicals hamper body metabolism. On the other hand, antioxidants kill these free radicals, boosting metabolism and fat burning in the body. Many dietary supplements, such as Java burn, Dentitox pro, and Okinawa flat belly tonic, contain several antioxidant fruits for weight loss.

  • Acai Berries

Acai berries are primarily found in the rainforests of South and Central America. They are 2.5 cm or 1-inch round fruits. Their skin is dark purple, and their flesh is yellow that surrounds a large seed.

  • Mulberry

Mulberries are delicious fruits from the Moraceae family. Mulberries are a sweet fruit that is a treasure of health benefits. They are known to improve blood sugar levels, cholesterol and lower the risk of cancer. Scientists in China believe that Rutin, a substance present in mulberry, might help treat obesity.

So, a dietary supplement with these ingredients might be described as fat burners. Besides using fat-burning supplements, you can also go for some natural ways. You will learn more about it through the next section.

Natural Fat Burners

Melissa Matteo, a registered dietitian, said, “You can take a natural approach, with foods and drinks that contain substances that may promote weight loss,” Here are some natural food products.

  • Protein

“Our bodies have to work harder to break down protein than carbohydrates or fats, so increasing protein in your diet can boost your metabolism,” Matteo says. That means consuming protein-rich food is helpful.

  • Fiber

Fiber also boosts fat burning. Matteo says, “We digest dietary fibers best if we get them from food rather than supplements.” In the process of digestion, we require energy gained from burning fat.

Natural ways are helpful yet require a lot of effort.

Conclusion

Natural supplements are an umbrella term for several different compounds that are consumed besides a regular diet. These provide a particular kind of benefit. Fat burners are those natural supplements that are responsible for fat burning. So, you can call natural supplements fat burners if they claim to burn body fat and help in weight loss.
