On the Radio

I have some exciting news….from now on, on Mondays from 11-11:30 I will be hosting a lifestyle radio show on WVOX 1460am based upon this blog.  We will be talking about Fashion, Family and Fun.  You can tune into http://www.wvox.com and listen live.  For our first show on 4/6 we will be talking with my good friends Betts Miller and Ally Drew about whats new in home interiors and how to spruce up your home for the spring.  They own a gorgeous store in Rye New York called Nest.  You can visit their beautiful website HERE.  We are looking forward to seeing you “On The Radio”.

Fashionable Friend Friday

This weeks fashionable friend Friday is a lovely lady, Lotte, who I have known for a while now.  Her personal style and talent blow me away every time.  I recently had the pleasure of touring her fabulous home.  She is an incredible designer and has an eye for interiors and most especially staging and placing accessories.  I am so lucky to be able to bring photos of her gorgeous rooms to my readers.  Get ready for some serious house ENVY!!!

One Pot Pasta with Spinach and Tomatoes

Since the last One Pot Pasta recipe was such a hit, I thought I would post another one.  I have not tired this yet but it is on the menu for the next week.  I found this on the Cooking Light website, so not only is it suppose to be delicious but good for you too!!!

Ingredients:

1 Tbs Olive Oil
1 Cup Chopped Onion
6 Garlic Cloves Finely Chopped
1 Can Unsalted Petite Diced Tomatoes, Undrained
1 1/2 Cups Unsalted Chicken Stock
1/2 Tsp Oregano
8 Ounces Whole Grain Spaghetti
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
10 Ounces Fresh Spinach
1 Ounce Grated Parmesan Cheese

  1. Heat a dutch oven or large saucepan over medium heat.  Add oil, swirl to coat.
  2. Add onion and garlic to pan; sauté 3 minutes or until onion starts to brown. 
  3. Add tomatoes,
    stock, oregano,
    and pasta, in
    that order.
    Bring to a boil. 
  4. Stir to submerge noodles in liquid.
  5. Cover, reduce heat to
    medium-low, 
    and cook 7 minutes
    or until pasta 
    is almost done. 
  6. Uncover; stir in salt.
  7. Add spinach
    in batches,
    stirring until
    spinach wilts.
    Remove from
    heat; let stand 
    5 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle with cheese.

Setting the Easter Table

I love setting a holiday table and Easter is one of my favorites!  With Winter hopefully behind us, now is the time to break out all the pastels and pave the way for warmer sunnier days.  Here are some new beauties to add to your Easter Sunday dinner.  I love the idea of bunny plates.  The William Sonoma ones below would be perfect.  And how cute is the pink handled flatware?  Happy Setting!
