Yesterday, at the last minute, my mom, my girls, my friend Maura and her two girls and my daughter’ friend from school went to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. My mom had not been for years and was really excited to see it again. Needless to say, the show never disappoints. It was so beautiful and the Rockettes were as amazing as ever. One of our favorite parts was the beautiful nativity. What a great way to get into the Christmas spirit. For buy one get one free tickets, click HERE.
This week’s Fashionable Friend Friday is someone with great vision. He seamlessly turned a tired home into something stunning, and I had to share it with you. Michael McCooey took a home that had not been touched for ages and created an polished gem full of treasures. All of his pieces, he curated himself, over years of hunting on the antique scene, so much so that everything has its own story. But really, how many times have you heard that a house has “good bones” but could not see past the dated paneling, tiling, and antiquated overall feel? Well, Michael was able to see beyond those things and turn his own home into a turn-key magazine worthy residence. He fell in love with the view of his club’s beloved golf course, in the home’s backyard, and knew that the inside could easily match the outside, with some TLC. The end result will leave you in awe of Michael’s talent. The best part, Michael is a Real Estate Salesperson with Houlihan Lawrence, here in Rye. Are you looking for your next home? Are you in love with the charm of an older house but cannot see past the dated doorway? Well, Michael is for you. For more information on his current listings or to contact Michael, click HERE.
This recipe was given to me by a friend who claims it is so delicious, her family will not have Thanksgiving dinner without it so she has made it for decades. I love the idea of adding a corn dish because that is one of the things included in our forefathers first Thanksgiving feast! Enjoy!!!
One of the most requested posts is “what great finds are there at HomeGoods?”. I have been putting this off until this time of year because there are so many great tabletop selections, small side tables, gifts and other home decor items in the store right now. I went to the Port Chester store, but most of these things can be found at the HomeGoods in any area. I browsed the isles for about an hour yesterday and here’s what I found. Oh and I also stalked many of the carts of fellow shoppers and even forced them to unload a couple of things so I could get photos for you!!!!!!! Enjoy!!!!
