A new restaurant opened on Purchase St in Rye, NY, Rosemary and Vine, and we were invited to try a tasting menu. The cuisine is a savory vegetarian Mediterranean, while also offering a nice wine and beer selection. The food is fabulous. Each dish was better than the rest. We loved the Gazpacho Blanco, made with cucumbers, grapes and mint. The family recipe for Hummus is one of the best we had and the 5 cheese mushroom lasagna was out of this world, just to name a few of our favorites. The founders, Berj and Tania could not have been more attentive or hospitable. But don’t take our word for it, Rosemary and Vine was recently mentioned in Vogue as a must stop this summer in Rye. This exotic, botanical fragrance doubles as an insect repellent. It smells so good and works so well. I always have a tube in my purse for a night by the water. This product is so good it remains on the list from last year!!! For more information, click HERE
This is the most comfortable flip flop I have ever worn. The footbed is made from real EVA yoga mats that give you a lightweight, cushy, comfortable feel when walking. You have to try these shoes!!!! For more information, click HERE
Colorful costume jewelry is all over the place these days. I particularly love vintage pieces. They look great with summer whites or a tank and shorts. I follow Queens Antiques on Instagram. They have the best selection of statement jewelry.
Today’s Weekend Real Estate Stalking is the home of Betty Crocker in Norwell, MA. The listing says to the potential buyers, “not to be afraid of antiques” as “they are made from higher quality materials than can be found today and most often you will find superior craftsmanship”. Betty Crocker was known to her neighbors as Janette Kelley. She ran the general mills test kitchen in the 40’s and 50’s and with a 50 person team cooked up hundreds of classic recipes. By 1958 she was a staple in most American kitchens where she still remains today!!!! PS that is still “Betty’s” original kitchen!!!! Bon Weekend!!!
Today’s Fashionable Friend Friday is artist and educator, Keith Reinhardt. I first was introduced to Keith’s work at Serendipity Labs. There is a show currently going on which showcases many pieces from Keith’s collection. His style currently is marbleized works of acrylic on canvas and they are stunning. Keith is going to keep us updated on all his latest shows but if you happen to be in Rye, you have to stop by Serendipity Labs and check them out for yourself. If not , follow Keith on his Instagram or on his Facebook page or his website. I also was lucky enough to interview Keith on my show. To listen to the interview click HERE.
