Book Club Monday

Since we all loved Girl on the Train, I wanted to share Paula Hawkin’s new book with you.  It just came out on May 2nd and it sure promises to be another HUGE HIT.  Here is the story:

A single mother turns up dead at the bottom of the river that runs through town. Earlier in the summer, a vulnerable teenage girl met the same fate. They are not the first women lost to these dark waters, but their deaths disturb the river and its history, dredging up secrets long submerged.

Left behind is a lonely fifteen-year-old girl. Parentless and friendless, she now finds herself in the care of her mother’s sister, a fearful stranger who has been dragged back to the place she deliberately ran from—a place to which she vowed she’d never return.

With the same propulsive writing and acute understanding of human instincts that captivated millions of readers around the world in her explosive debut thriller, The Girl on the Train, Paula Hawkins delivers an urgent, twisting, deeply satisfying read that hinges on the deceptiveness of emotion and memory, as well as the devastating ways that the past can reach a long arm into the present.

Beware a calm surface—you never know what lies beneath.

Weekend Real Estate Stalking Part II

So today our Weekend Real Estate Stalking continues with an in-town luxury condo in Greenwich, Ct.  I just love this gated community.  However, this home is truly spectacular.   I also love the decor, artwork, multiple fireplaces and most especially all the “cool” colors in the entertaining areas.  For more information on this incredible property, contact Julie Grace Burke.

Dry Bar

I recently visited the New Dry Bar, the nationwide blow dry bar founded by hair stylist, All Webb, in White Plains.  I had been to the Dry Bar in the city so when I saw they opened close to home, I was ecstatic.  I met the Owner, Rye resident,  Colleen Margiloff and we set a date for me to come in and see all that her location had to offer.  WOW was I blown away (no pun intended!!!!!).  The blow out was one of the best I have ever had, complete with fun movies and mimosas.  Colleen gave me tips to help prolong my style, way after I left her salon.  The Blow Dry products were incredible as well.  I walked out with a bunch of amazing things to try and a few gift certificates so that my friends could go back for their own fab Dry Bar experience.  For more information, click HERE.

NS Lifestyles was given a complimentary blow dry  however, as always all thoughts and opinions express above are my own!!
