Kate, Aubrey, and Jenny first met as college roommates and soon became inseparable, despite being as different as three women can be. Kate was beautiful, wild, wealthy, and damaged. Aubrey, on financial aid, came from a broken home, and wanted more than anything to distance herself from her past. And Jenny was a striver—brilliant, ambitious, and determined to succeed. As an unlikely friendship formed, the three of them swore they would always be there for each other.
But twenty years later, one of them is standing at the edge of a bridge, and someone is urging her to jump.
How did it come to this?

Kate married the gorgeous party boy, Aubrey married up, and Jenny married the boy next door. But how can these three women love and hate each other? Can feelings this strong lead to murder? When one of them dies under mysterious circumstances, will everyone assume, as is often the case, that it’s always the husband?

A suspenseful, absorbing novel that examines the complexities of friendship, It’s Always the Husband will keep readers guessing right up to its shocking conclusion. – Amazon.com

My Nordstrom Sale Picks

I honestly get so sick of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale because of all the posts popping up on Instagram everyday.  I really think some of the stuff is a definite miss but last year I bought a few pieces that I wore constantly.  So this year I decided to give it a go again.  I only listed pieces in this post that I tried for myself and kept or would have kept.  The sale ends on the 5th, and the prices go back up on the 6th, so this is a perfect rainy weekend project.  I really love the clothes that I bought and nothing listed below will break the bank!!!!  Happy Shopping!!!

I bought this shirt and have worn it a bunch of times with white jeans but It would look great with blue jeans or leather pants.

4 Ingredient Basil Ricotta Crostini

I have been meaning to post this recipe for a few weeks.  I went to a picnic night on the beach and this was the most popular dish.  Everyone loved it!!  It was surprisingly light but also so delicious.  I cannot wait to try it again.  Bon Appetit!!!

INGREDIENTS

1/2 pound fresh ricotta
1 tablespoon lemon zest
6 large basil leaves
1 french baguette
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Extra virgin olive oil for drizzling
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Slice the baguette into half inch thick slices.  Lay on a baking sheet and drizzle both sides with olive oil.
  3. Bake the baguette slices for about 3-4 minutes per side, until they are slightly golden brown.
  4. In the meantime, combine the fresh ricotta, lemon zest,1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper.
  5. Bread is done toasting, spread 1-2 tablespoons of the ricotta mixture onto each slice.
  6. Chiffonade (dice into long thin strips) the basil and sprinkle on top of the lemon basil ricotta crostini.
  7. Lightly drizzle extra virgin olive oil onto each crostini.

The Hardest Table To Get In NY Right Now

It is officially impossible to get a reservation at the new restaurant Frenchette in Tribeca.  It has become the most coveted table in the city.  It is the brainchild of Keith McNally’s chefs Raid Nasr and Lee Hanson of Balthazar, Pastis, and Minetta Tavern fame.  According to the stellar recent New York Times review..it is definitely worth the wait.  At this point, I am going to try for October!!!!
