I have a special book I want to share with you this week. It is a book that was written by a very good family friend of ours, Christopher Tennyson, and the book is called #MadamLOV. I read the first draft manuscript of this project and was enthralled. I hear that the final project is even better. I cannot wait to dig in. For a limited time #MadamLOV is offered in the Kindle version for $2.99. Here is the story:
Libra Olivia Vasquez – better known to the rich and powerful as the legendary MadamLOV – is running for her life from cartels, cops and clients. With her glamorous world collapsing, the beautiful Latina proprietor of the world’s most exclusive call girl empire hatches a desperate plan to end her life on her own terms. Her dangerous gambit, ensnaring a U.S. billionaire and his family, sets off a frantic chase from Mexico City to New York, with explosive encounters north and south of the boarder. MadamLOV is the most wanted woman in the world. The question is, who will find her first? – Amazon.com

I have been wanting to post a cocktail recipe for a while. I love the idea of a champagne punch, esp not since the weather is getting warmer. My friend Jessica Gordon Ryan from The Entertaining House posted this recipe a while ago. She is one of the bloggers hosting the event with me next Thursday night!!! I hope you will be able to join us!!!!
Coupe de Champagne Punch
Serves 10
Macerate the fruit in a large glass pitcher overnight in the refrigerator, make sure the fruit is completely submerged into the liquid. When you are ready to serve, pour 3 cups of Champagne on into the pitcher of the macerated fruit mixture and serve in champagne glasses.*Note* some fruit will go into the champagne glasses and some will remain in the pitcher. Refill the pitcher with champagne as long as fruit remains. Champagne will very quickly pick up the flavors of the fruit mixture.
Serves 10: Fruit mixture + 1 Bottle of Champagne (this includes refilling) = 10 glasses

“How is it that the coolest new show on Broadway is a 1943 musical? Daniel Fish’s wide-awake, jolting, and altogether wonderful production of OKLAHOMA! is as stimulating and frightening—and as fresh—as last night’s fever dream. This is OKLAHOMA! for an era in which longstanding American legacies are being examined with newly skeptical eyes. This isn’t an act of plunder, but of reclamation. Astonishing.”

“OKLAHOMA! ripped into town like a brushfire: potent, illuminating, and rejuvenating. A theatrical blowout.”
SARA HOLDREN, NEW YORK MAGAZINE
“A revelation. A bold reimagining you might almost mistake this for a new work.”
DAVID ROONEY, THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER
I saw this week’s book choice, The Girl He Use To Know by Tracey Garvis Graves and I bought it immediately. I was really in the mood for a good old fashion hopelessly romantic love story. Here is the summary:
