A Divine Artist

I am so inspired by the incredible work of artist Rosie Quick.  I have known Rosie and her family for many years and am just so impressed with the talent and wonderful creative things Rosie is doing.  Below is her bio and examples of her fabulous work.  Rosie is having an opening at Deborah Berke Partners at 220 Fifth Ave on Thursday, June 18th from 6-8 for her first Solo Show!!!, “Turn On And Tune In”.    It is running until August 28th so if you are in the NY area, stop by!  For more info or to inquire, please contact Rosie at http://www.rosiequickart.com.

Rosie Quick (b. 1989 in New York, New York ) 

Quick’s work seeks a reflective and thought provoking experience drawing upon her own experiences. Her work is inspired by her love for the outdoors and the simple peculiarities of every day life. In 2012 she received her Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art, focus in Painting, at Boston College. In 2014 Quick received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she was a recipient of the SAIC Distinguished Scholar Scholarship (Merit Scholarship). She will begin her Masters of Fine Art at The Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, this fall. Quick has shown her paintings through the Artist Association of Nantucket, where, in 2012, she was accepted as the youngest artist member in its time. Notable exhibits include: Summer Wind (2015) at Student/Alumnae Gallery at Sacred Heart, Greenwich, CT; Fall BFA Show (2014) at the Sullivan Galleries at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL; Rosie Quick & Jonathan Kusnerek (2014) at Soko Studio Space, The Fine Arts Building, Chicago, IL; Wonders Never Cease (2014) at The Town Pool, Nantucket, MA;  Wet Paint Weekend (2012) at The Artist’s Association of Nantucket, Nantucket, MA; Luminosities (2012) at The Artist’s Association of Nantucket, Nantucket, MA; Open Skies (2012) at The Artist’s Association of Nantucket, Nantucket, MA; Rosie Quick (2012) at Gallery K, Nantucket, MA; Senior Studio Show (2012) at Boston College Devlin Hall, Chestnut Hill, MA.. The artist currently lives in Brooklyn and works in New York City.
