Capucine De Wulf is an amazing jewelry company local to Connecticut and was started by Capucine, herself, one of the founders of one of my favorite companies, Juliska. I first was introduced to this company about a year ago, when I purchased the coolest looking malachite link bracelet. The look is so timeless and beautiful,..that I became fascinated with Capucine’s other pieces. I love their gorgeous wood link bracelet and the turquoise dome ring is def next on my list. This year more than ever we need to shop local. For us, this meant buying a bunch of our presents right in downtown Rye. I love walking by the shop windows and picking out gifts for everyone on my list. One of our frequent stops is Palmer and Purchase. All year-round, they have a great mix of fun clothes, pretty accessories, and the perfect mix of little gifts that are just right but even more so at Christmastime. During the quarantine, I would follow their INSTAGRAM, and Abbie, the owner, would fulfill the orders and drop them right at your door. I really wanted to give back to her for being there for all her customers during that really scary time!!! Palmer and Purchase was our go-to this Holiday season. I visited the store so many times, during the past few weeks. I watched what people were buying and also what they were putting on their wish lists. One of the highlights of 2020 for me was covering the American Christmas warehouse sale. We saw so many fabulous decorations and people were able to bring decorations home from some of the most famous places in New York, from Van Cleef to Saturday Night Live.
Do you remember the NYC we are used to over the Holidays…….. All the beautiful displays and trees and over the top decorations. Well, they are still there and American Christmas is the company that brings most of them to you. They are offering a Walking Tour, (click HERE for the route) of their installations this year. This is the second most requested gift guide throughout the Holiday season..For the past 2 years I started asking my kids and my nieces and nephews to start pages on Giftful, an online gift wish list, where you add the items that you want from all over the internet. It is such a brilliant idea. I love seeing what everyone wants and I am even encouraging the adults to do it too So this Gift Guide, which usually is very challenging is a breeze this year. I found some really fun things. Now I need to follow my own advice and add some of them to my cart to put under our tree.
