Holiday Breakfast at Tiffany’s

I am not sure if all my readers know my background…right out of college I went to work at Tiffany & Co. in the marketing department.  It was one of the most amazing experiences.  I started working as a temp during vacations during junior and senior year and left when my son was a toddler.   Tiffany is such a magical place. When I read that they opened a restaurant on the newly renovated 4th floor, I had to check it out.  During Christmas week, at Tiffany, all the employees were asked to volunteer on the sales floor, as greeters.  I did this for soooo many years.  I loved it.  Answering questions, welcoming people into the store, directing them where to go was so magical.  Just to be part of all the comings and goings was something to behold.  Last week I decide to visit Tiffany and check out that new restaurant.  It was such a special visit for me because I had breakfast at Tiffany’s at my desk everyday for almost 10 years.  I also always loved the amazing Holiday decor year after year.  I had to share this year’s with you.  Oh and we cannot forget that blue box….SIGH!!!!!

And how awesome would it be if Audrey showed up at your door this Christmas!!!!

Christmas Decor Sneak Peek!!!

Another thing people always ask me is to show photos of my own house.  I rarely do except for a random shot here or there…But this year, I decided to show you a few scenes from around my house and some of my favorite, cherished Holiday decorations.  A lot are either gifts or vintage items found over the years or hand me downs from my mom.  There are a few Home Goods finds sprinkled in and some treasures from my favorite stops, Hoaglands, McArdyles Nest Inspired Home and Dovecote.
This vintage turkey is a staple for my Thanksgiving decor but this year I thought I would dress him up.  The star is a vintage tin tree topper but I love the way it stands on its own.  The silver vase in the back ground was a gift from my mom and I love it…I keep it out all year!!!!

This was my mom’s.  It is a very old Santa that she brought out every Christmas.  My parents used to have a summer lake house thus the fishing/canoe theme.  Every year I come close to getting rid of him but I just cannot bring myself to do it!!!!

These are 2 vintage containers.  The snacks dish stays out all year and the clear compote holds vintage Christmas ornaments.  The little bottle brush tree I bought at CVS this year!!!!!

I waited and waited for this gold tipped wreath to go on sale at Home Goods.  I think I ended up buying it in February for 70% off!!!
This little reindeer is a Home Goods find from last year.  I put him on top of cocktail napkins when I serve cheese and crackers or other hors d’oeuvres .  However, I love the way he looks on a little gold box that my friend Meg gave me a few years ago!!!!!!  Also that candle was a gift from Aerin Lauder.  OMG!!! The sent is gardenia and it is incredible!!!!

I made that wreath with my daughter this year at a wreath making class at our club.  The bulbs are battery operated and really sparkly and my dad bought them for me at a florist in Little Italy years ago, one night after dinner.  I bought the gold reindeer to use as  centerpieces for a holiday lunch that I used to throw every year when all our kids were soo young   They remind me of what fun I had with my girl friends and how I have to start the tradition again.

I have a silver theme in my front hall and I cannot remember where I got the silver wreath but the lucite reindeer are so old and were from Mecox Gardens in NYC.  One guy is missing and antler and a leg but I love them so much!!!!

This mismatch collection of trees is from all over.  A lot from Dovecote’s after Christmas sale.  I just got the reindeer this year at Home Goods (he is really nice up close and on a marble base)!!  The mirror is from my bedroom growing up.

Here is my bar cart!!!!  The glasses are Jonathan Adler, a christmas gift from my mom a few years ago.  The Santa lights up and he is from the 50’s.  I love him so much.  The decanters, stirrers, wine openers ice tongs and gold coasters are all vintage, some from my mom, some I bought.  My favorite thing is the candy cube from Linda Fargo’s curated shop at Bergdorf Goodman!!!

Here is my mantel…I change it up from year to year but the reindeers and trees are from Hoaglands and the feather wreaths are from Nest Inspired Home.  The garland I got this year at McArdyles!!  I used to have a Merry Christmas sign to hang over the fireplace screen, but it ripped so I am on the lookout for another.  The fireplace tools and andirons were my grandmothers, but I am not sure if you can see them from here, which might be good because they need to be polished!!!

I love these trees.  I can’t even describe them or remember where I got them but they are so pretty and they rest on a Bulgari Book that my bestie JB gave me when she worked there!!!!

This tree is so old..I love it..its definitely has seen better days.  But I got it when my son was a baby and I cannot bare to get rid of it.  The reindeer ornament was a gift from my book club swap and I just think it fits perfectly there!!!

Here is my front hall.  I just bought that tinsel tree on Amazon.  I need to fluff it somemore.  The garland is from McArdyles.  I had been looking for something with a silver tone for a while.

I try to keep my tree monotone, though I have tons of Polish ornaments that my mom gave me but the red and green and bright colors fight my decor so I use them every other year or every couple of years.  I mainly stick with silver tones on my tree.  The lit ornament on top is a vintage angel ornament.  I bought the Merry Christmas and Seasons Greetings ornaments years and years ago.  Most of the other ornaments are vintage or from Dovecote.  I did add the greatest faux fur pom pom garland but its hard to see.  I am on the look out for more!!!

These trees literally came from Wallgreens…I bought them for a project I was doing and Voila they stuck. I have arranged them on my island for years.  Those evergreen swags with pinecones are from Stop and Shop and they fit perfectly in milk glass vases that I bought from Eddie Ross ages ago!!!!

I just got this fun pillow from Nest Inspired Home .  The chipmunk is from Amazon (featured in my gift guide a couple of weeks ago).  I also have the cutest vintage Santa for that chair but we moved him over for this new friend. The little gold glitter trees were my grandmothers.  One is literally being held together with fun tac but I love them so much!!!

Here is a better view of some of the reindeer and trees.

My lucite reindeer, this is not the broken one!!!

Here is another 1950’s light up Santa.  He is nice and tall and sits in the corner of my kitchen.  You can find similar ones on Ebay.
