High Tea

Yesterday my daughters and I attended a tea party.  It was so special.  A tea is such an elegant yet simple way to entertain.  I have been dying to host a tea for a while now.  Why not get your best ladies together an invite them over for a Mother’s Day tea?  Pull out your best silver pieces (silver plate!!) and china.  Serve finger sandwiches and petite desserts.  Its actually quite simple for such a lovely unforgetable afternoon.  Here are some ideas I have pulled together for you!  Pinkys up readers and Enjoy!!!!

Flare Jeans

Flare jeans are back!!  I love the look of a jean with a flared bottom.  They are so flattering on all body types. A flare leg dresses up an outfit and makes the jeans look less casual, more finished and sophisticated.  They look great with heels, wedges, ballet flats and pointed flats.  Here are some fantastic flare jeans looks!

Arbonne

I recently discovered the ultra-premium brand Arbonne. Arbonne products are vegan, green, toxin free and cruelty free. “Arbonne skincare products, based on botanical principles, became a reality in the United States in 1980 and are now shared throughout the world through the Arbonne network of Independent Consultants. Building on these same founding principles, the product line has since grown to include both inner and outer health and beauty products that are unparalleled in quality, safety, value, benefits and results.”  I have tried a few samples of their skin care and loved them so far. I can’t wait to try their Overnight Hydration Mask.   Arbonne also has a wonderful nutrition line that is gluten free and GMO free. If you click the image above you can view their complete product line.  Our local representative, Jill Kay (JillKay@myarbonne.com) is wonderful and will gladly answer any questions.

Decorating with Blue and White

I love the look of blue and white accents in the home.  The ginger jars and lamps and other accessories are really beautiful and fit into so many decorating styles.  I have not been able to figure out where in my own home I can use these ideas, but I am always dreaming about how great it would be if I had an area that looked like one of those featured below.

Meet Madeline Weinrib

Madeline Weinrib is a very well know textile designer whose carpets, and fabrics are often featured in high end home design magazines (or “Shelter Books”).  Her family is the founder of ABC Carpet and Home, the eclectic home store in Manhattan, NY.  First Dibs chose Madeline as their Saturday Shopping person.  Though most of her choices are very high end, I still love her style and I am sure you will too.  Saturday Shopping with Madeline

Fashionable Friend Friday

This week’s Fashionable Friend Friday are a pair of friends!!, Bets and Ally.  They are two very talented ladies who own the store Nest Inspired Home in Rye, NY.  Nest is my go to for home accessories and furniture.  Unfortunately I met these ladies right as I finished my home renovation but I make it a point to stop into their gorgeous shop frequently to check out new home trends, vintage finds and clean lined furniture.  I always seem to walk out with a little trinket whether it be a delicious smelling candle, a set of unique vintage glasses or a contemporary coffee table book!!  You can also find Nest online HERE.
