Fashionable Friend Friday

This week’s Fashionable Friend Friday is Jenny Seok, the floral designer who recently opened Green Wood Flowers in Rye (their first location is in Bronxville).  Jenny and her husband Thomas bring you the most elegant arrangements.  I love their use of succulents and orchids and the containers are simply wonderful.   Jenny brings her expertise from her horticulture classes at the Botanical Garden to each of her creations.  Green Wood Flowers is a definite must see for a quick, well-priced pick me up to your indoor spring decor!

One Stop Shopping

I love Amzon.com.  It is the most fabulous place for one stop shopping.  On any given day I can order a set of colored pencils for my girls, car mats for my son, bones for my dogs and a fabulous pair of earrings for myself.  The best part is that everything arrives within 48 hours. Amazon is also a great source for home accessories.  They have great furniture accent pieces, pillows, throws, objects and so much more.  The next time you decide to step out for your next decorating fix, spend some time on Amazon instead…You will be pleasantly surprised…happy surfing!!!!!

Glow

Prior to leaving on Spring Break, I decided to visit Glow custom airbrush tanning.  The products are all organic, paraben and cruelty-free.  The owner Jennifer is incredible and so welcoming.  She researched all of the color options out there and decided to use a product from an Australian company that will give you that sun-kissed glow without being orangey or artificial looking.  I loved the end result.  The color lasted a long while, I am still getting compliments.  To learn more about Jennifer and Glow click HERE

American Psycho

Last Thursday, I went with Fortune Theatrical Ventures, to see America Psycho on broadway.  American Psycho is the story of a wealthy investment banker living in New York City.  He has a dual life as a serial killer.  The story itself is off color but it was something we had to read later in high school or college so I really wanted to see the story.  There was music from Huey Louis and the News, Phil Collins, and Whitney Houston.  It is definitely an adults only show.  The audience LOVED it….laughs and applause all around and it got rave reviews to a sold-out run in London.  To get involved with future Fortune Theatrical Ventures events and see the latest and greatest on broadway, please email Ashley at ashley@fortunetheatricalventures.com.

Weekend Real Estate Stalking

Here is the buzz I have been hearing lately, sooo many Westchester peeps, are considering moving to Connecticut to avoid our high property taxes.  I recently found a home for sale in Greenwich that I wanted to show you with a pool, tennis court and so much more and the BEST part, the property taxes are 1/4 of what they would be in New York!!!!!!!!  Unbelievable!!!!!!!  If you would like more information on this property or the Greenwich Market, contact Julie Burke at jgburke@HoulihanLawrence.com.

Also Speaking of Greenwich, DO NOT miss the Sacred Heart book fair and boutique Sunday from 12-3 at 1177 King St, Greenwich 06830.  There are going to be vendors selling jewelry, vintage table top items, speciality gifts and so much more!!!
