Today’s Fashionable Friend Friday is Cate Blanchett. OMG is she such an amazing actress…I have watched Blue Jasmine at least 1,000 times. Cate just nails it…totally!!!!!! When I got an offer to see her on broadway, in the limited run play, The Present, I knew I had to go. I did not know the story nor what to expect but I did know that Cate was going to be amazing…which she was. I definitely recommend this production but I also recommend doing your homework and reading up on it. It is based upon Chekhov’s Russian play Platonov and it takes sometime to get all the characters straight but once you do, you will LOVE it, especially Cate!!! massive yet beautiful snow fall. Really our first one
of the season (we did have one back in early January
but I was away so that does not count!!!!!!!!). This
weather has me thinking of outerwear…I love to flats
year round so I will always be boot challenged but OUTERWEAR…
thats another story. I am really feeling all of the
puffer jackets with fur accents. They look so put
together despite the brutal cold around us and they
are warm to boot. Lucky for us there are so many
options and really good looks that fit all budgets.

What a better thing to do than to plan a great getaway to some of our preferred partners
ski resorts. This is the year to plan a winter wonderland vacation. There is still plenty of availability and packages for February,
weekends or early Spring Breaks in March.

There are so many good choices for NYC Restaurant Week and I really use this time to try new places…I am not interested in repeating a restaurant during this week, I must try something new. Because after all that is what it’s for, right? Well you could imagine how excited I was when I received an email from the MET that for the FIRST TIME ever, they are allowing non members in their Members Dining Room for this year’s NYC Restaurant Week. I grabbed my friend Courtney and off we went for this special experience. The Member’s Dining Room has hosted so many influential people over the years, that it is so rich in history and tradition. I wish the walls could talk. I absolutely loved this dining experience. The room was so pretty and the view was incredible. We both enjoyed our meals. The food was so good. Restaurant week ends on 2/10. There is still time left, so grab a friend and head to the MET. As for me, I have one more reservation this week. I have been waiting for this one for months….stay tuned!!!!!!!
