The iconic shop J McLaughlin recently opened in Larchmont, NY. If you are not familiar with this incredibly well-bred shop, which first opened its doors in 1977 on Manhattan’s upper east side, it offers classic well tailored ready to wear men’s and women’s clothing and accessories. I especially love their well-priced cashmere, dresses and iconic faux fur items. Here are some of my favorite pieces for the fall. I just love their photos from their Fall Campaign. It makes me yearn for my well read and dog-eared copy of The Preppy Handbook!!! For more information on J McLaughlin or to see their complete line, click HERE.

This post is for my mom, who is waiting out Hurricane Matthew in South Florida all cozy in her home with her non impact windows!!!!!! Hopefully, this hurricane will be short and sweet and she will be out and about making cocktails and getting into the Halloween Spirit. For the rest of us, how can you resist these incredible drinks. I learned about a few new types of alcohol writing this post. It’s hard to decide which to try, maybe then we should choose one of each!!!!!! Halloween Party Anyone???
